So if I understand this correctly, Assuming everyone needs to be in the finale of any heist speedrun, currently this is allowed -> cayo perico where everyone does their own preps and the main host 'steals'

will any of these 4 be allowed?

  1. casino where everyone does their own preps, main host steals, and everyone does the finale together
  • if applying the same rules as cayo i dont see why this would be a problem
  1. doomsday where people do setups simultaneously (e.g. act 2 run where player 1 and 2 do avenger and ulp, player 3 and 4 do hard drives and recon, and everyone does the finale)
  • similar logic to cayo perico and casino, all the preps end up being done, just that everyone is not in every setup/prep
  1. doomsday where people split to do different setups, just not simultaneously (e.g. player 1 and 2 do the 1st setup, as soon as they finish player 3 and 4 start the next, skipping any loading/lobby time)
  2. casino and cayo perico where everyone does their own preps but main host doesnt steal
  • if having all preps done is important, why deliver it to the main host?

if we try to keep the spirit of a 'coop speedrun', 2-4 shouldnt be allowed imo, idk about prep steal if having the same rules for all heists is important, i think allowing prep steal & not allowing 2-4 is not consistent because "prep steal is ok because its 1 heist" doesnt really make sense considering multihost is allowed

i think requiring all members of a run be in every prep/setup/finale is reasonable and consistent although it would be fun to see 98 people get together to do an all heist run in 10mins lol

Takes a while to set the dinghies everywhere but worth it imo

Yes (you can use anything that any other player would be able to) but checkout some of the top runs, job warping is faster.

"Timer starts upon gaining control of your character upon the start of the scope the primary target mission and is stopped on losing control of your character after leaving the final.

I found this to be unclear, and know that others were also not sure how the run was timed. There is also a ≈2sec gap between the HUD disappearing and losing control of your character.

My suggestion is to make it so that the timer starts when the objective "Go to [Location]" appears, and ends when the HUD disappears. It is possible to pinpoint the exact frame of when these happen, and in my opinion it doesn't matter when the timer starts/ends, just that it is consistent across all submitted runs.

Here's me making a invalid job in 4mins. Just set the trigger to the roof of the building (2045 North Conker Avenue) and make a race. I'm sure there are other spots to do this, but I haven't found any yet. No idea how or why this works, but anyone (I assume) could do it without mods or glitches to get underground or interiors.

Update: it looks like placing the trigger on the roof of some of the apartment "houses" makes it an invalid job.
