Welcome to the site! You don't need to do runs competitively to be on the site, the whole point is to just have fun. I hope you enjoy watching runs and playing games!
But you probably won't run into many cheaters, whenever somebody cheats, it usually attracts a lot of attention, leading people to believe it is more common than it is. You shouldn't come to the site because you want to "expose" people for cheating. I also would recommend you don't accuse someone unless you can conclusively prove they cheated, because if you're wrong about it then you'll look bad.
Sometimes in a discord I'm in we'll post screenshots of really stupid youtube comments. Here are my favorites:
"Speedrunners should not be allowed to reset. Do one speedrun, complete it, and that shows your true skill. Maybe you can try again another year. Anybody can get a perfect time if they keep resetting over and over again."
"Can't help but feel there is something deeply immoral about this? Lots of kids watch these vids and they are teaching you that systems and rules don't matter and you need to take shortcuts.
