IL's are now up, this is the best layout currently for both Story mode chapters and Missions. I will accept suggestions on the layout if there may be a better way, but this seems simple enough. Submitted IL's will be required to be for which ever difficulty they are trying for and not just the IL. Even tho only the TOP runs for either the mission or chapter for any% or V ranks will be shown as first,second or third etc.... keep in mind that if your run is on hard or another difficulty, its not directly competing with the other ones. The IL's are only tracking based by fastest times, nothing I can do to fix that Unless somehow I can be given the ability to create a whole subdivision for Chapters and Missions to be separated further.
Mission specific requirements will be posted up later for those that wish to know what the rules are to complete them are.
IL's submitted runs must have the menu screen in the video(s) in which they select the mode->chapter/mission->difficulty. In game timer for these could possibly be in accurate, more testing is required on that, so please also submit RTA times from start of the chapter/mission in which timing start on character control, and ends once you lose control(results screen pops up).
More details will follow, and these details could all change. Once I have confirmed more of this and re-written it better it will be added to the main post.
@guywith, The whole reason why speed running is something people enjoy and like to share. The moments we all found frustrating or most enjoyable, there's allot of things. Considering you've been around for a year or more speed running kinda shocked you'd even ask such a question? Did you even watch the trailer? I found that I gave allot of insight on what to expect.

You can request the game once you fill out the required information and then submit it and wait for a notification about it.

Video proof is always the best, but runs can still be valid with other forms of proof on case/game basis. This mostly depends on the community and the way the moderate runs, and what kinds or categories or the way they accept them. Providing more proof for runs via including splits with pictures of the finial times and or will a validated vouches can also be enough for some runs. In a more recent case that I dealt with a person submitted a video of the run, but there was no visible timer on the video nor did they submit any splits, Simply Re-timing the video myself carefully to avoid buffers I was able to verify it, for the future I asked that they also submit splits since they were recording straight from console. This addition of proof further validates his times when he submits them because variance does happen due to human errors. But thats just a case I dealt with and was easily remedied just with simple addition of splits to cross check with.
If the event that you are only interested in see videos of the runs, if they don't have one AlphaCreeps suggestion of contacting the runner to ask what he did during the run is also good, I've done that for games I was interested in and they were more then glad to discuss things about it. An alternative is to watch the other runs that do have videos and analyze what they do and what the differences are and take that into mind. Generally once you have analyzed enough runs or enough of the game you can start to see what can be done to save time or lose time through the runs based on what other did or did not do.
Ultimately just because someone has a run without video proof for top3 of a particular category for a game, does not make it now valid, nor does it say that they did not do any work. Some people cannot capture video footage but can do other means to provide some creditable proof, but it comes down to the people who verify the runs based on community guidelines.
So well I agree with the philosophy of "No work, No credit." that is not entirely true in this case because we do not have a valid example at which to apply it to. If there was a run submitted with absolutely no proof, Video,splits, vouches, or even screens or save saves to confirm it then yes that statement would be correct.
I only wish I was not located in Canada so I could attend one of these awesome events in person. But alas I cannot, but I do hope that others get in on this, and that it goes well with success.
@Irregularprogramming , the simplest answer to the problem is to just re-time the run to get the accurate time. Simply modifying a time but adding or subtracting time does not make a run easily validate it, generally comes down to what the times are be it RTA- which you can just re-time it, or if it was In-game you can usually use a screenshot or the save file clear times to validate runs. please do not suggest incorrect information, also the matter was easily answered.
This question would be better asked to the people who play the game and also in the proper forum for that game.

its not a bug the games are case sensitive? as with many links to other games.

This threads primary goal will be to provide more detailed help and information on any of the Categories or Individual level runs, and also discuss any rules or possible changes or additions to them or even old or new Categories or IL's.
This First post will track and be updated as frequently as possible for all current and possible future runners of the game as time goes on.

Currently IL's are not available as I am working out how to best present them since there are Individual selected story mode chapters as well as Bonus missions which are track-able via clear time at the results screen at end.
RTA(Real Time Attack) will be the default requirement for full game runs(Story Mode), as the individual chapters only track there own clear times. Check the rules for those categories for more information.
IGT(In Game Time) will be the default requirement for individual chapters or missions, as they track there own clear times, tho the in game timer may not be as reliant so this may change.
V Rank(100%) is the best possible rating you can get for each fight and finial overall clear rating for missions or chapters. The ideal goal for this rating is to exceed the S rank scores that are shown for each fight, Since the game is primarily a score attack game, these can provide some challenges when added to speed running the game to obtain. Under Misc categories you will see any of the V Rank alternatives if any due to the nature of them. Please be aware that if you skip fights or do not combo well your rating will become very poor very fast, and for V Rank runs that will be cause for Reset.
well it seems like your laptop is not suitable hardware for both playing and recording. Most people tend to use a pc to record/stream and use console to play or have a second pc for pc/emulated games for better quality etc. Speed running can be a very rewarding hobby or fun past time but you only get as much out of it as you put into it. Enjoy it for the challenges and the games you love to play and things normally work out great in the right mind set.
Well I hope that you get in touch with those in the RE community as they are an awesome bunch of people I spent allot of my time in there channels because the games are enjoyable and very well commentated from a viewer experience perspective.

get the basics and understanding down by watching vods for games that you may be interested in running to kinda understand whats going on. then maybe pick a few games you may enjoy playing and trying to play-through normally a bit at your pace then eventually start getting better and faster.

Actually there are a number of people that have run the call of duty and large number of shooters in general just check the games and look at the boards to see the latest runs. anyways hope to see you running soon then and good luck but more importantly have fun.
