Developer: "The in-game timer is based on actual logic (physics) frames of the game. So it would be accurate to how many frames of actual input, AI, collisions, etc happened. It also, as you are probably aware, pauses for things that might run at different speeds for different people, namely loading screens between maps. Placed it in the right folder, i can't load game or see boss rush mode. If i start new game i can see the 100% save.

I find that really cool that you took the time to make a version more easy to use with bugfixes, it was awful to make this game work with OBS or two monitors so now i might want to go back play it.

But i also saw in the github that you would like to change some ennemies behaviour or the way stairs are working, so maybe it will need a different category ?

All current moderators are inactive and i removed myself a while ago as i lost interest in the game, TheBelmontSteaks was ok to be one but we never had a positive answer from site admin...

You might want to monitor them more seriously or report to google, it is the second time while browsing you website that a window pop up with a dangerous website saying that you have a virus and they want you to install something...

Was it like that originally or it is an emulation bug?

If i press up i can't move to right or left anymore which cause a lot of unintentional deaths, also when you are crouch you can not change direction to attack you have to release it first which is awful.

To retrieve your in game time for full runs take all the IGT times of individual levels of the said run, then addiotionnate them on a website that allow to this kind of stuff. For example: https://www.calculator.net/time-calculator.html

Don't know if it has been asked already, but using an authenticator will be more secure than receiving a code by email.

Not really related to speedrun but maybe someone will be able to answer here. I tried for hours to find a way to launch the multiplayer exe with the beta patch that is supposed to allow 20 players but it just does not work i was receiving a memory error (don't remember the exact one), and even if it would the windows version run so slow compared to PS1 one. I can't even find a single video of the multiplayer on Youtube, did this multiplayer patch ever worked? Imagine if they fixed the game for newer systems on GOG i will buy it instantly.

Hi. Someone suggested me to add a best lap category in the individual leaderboard which will raise the number of it to 8. What do you think about this idea ?

I am a personally a little skeptical on the interest of having so many leaderboards as this is going to make things a little messy and that it may be barely runned, even if a best lap category could have a legitimacy.

The game has been added on Race Time recently so do not hesitate to do races with your friends, if you never heard about this website this is a much better alternative to the old speedrunslive.

It runs at least three time the defaut speed, tested with various emulator and plugins... Does there is a way to fix it ?

Wii u and Switch -> Depsite that the order of the world 2 and 3 are inverted in these versions i don't see any problem with it, it should not affect the speedrun in any way compared to other platforms.

Dreamcast / Xbox one -> These versions don't have the last update, there is a very little difference with other versions of the game. Basically in the "ending C+" there is a skip in world 4 with the ropes that you can't do and who will make you lose around two seconds, so i will recommend to privilegiate other platforms. Creating new categories only for these two consoles is excluded as this is a very small difference and verifying on what platform you're playing is not possible.

Is it know than this console run slower than emulator snes 9x ? I did the mistake to start learning the game on this console and now than i have switched to emulator it is like if i have to relearn entirely the game. Tested with the same rom, same screen in 60hz and with version 1.56.2 and 1.53 and yes the game run faster, i saw it right at the beginning as Richter made bigger jumps.

Does the PAL version is as fast as the NTSC ?

The game have to be lock at 60 FPS maximum, above that it will break the game speed and also the in game timer.

If anyone ever find one, you can say it here. I didn't find any savegame folder so this must be hidden in the registry somewhere.

The original mode from the PS1 and the X68000 game are supposed to be exactly the same in gameplay terms, but after testing i can say it is not the case many ennemy placements who are normally supposed to be fixed are different between both version. I will do a video to show a few of them.

Video differences in level 1 :

0:08 Loadings times for PS1 0:38 Early bat for X68000 0:48 Faster panther for X68000 1:25 Different spawns of fishmans for X68000 1:56 Second bat come faster for X68000 2:09 The eye attack in a different direction and is much faster for X68000 2:27 The boss spawn faster for X68000 2:37 The energy ball of the boss appear faster and float for a shorter time for X68000
