@sullyrox What full jump before inputs? At the very beginning of the stage or at the end? Happylee setup where you do full jump at very beginning I actually find is difficult since letting go of right for no more than 2 frames is actually pretty difficult vs just pressing B on the perfect frame
This is on the All Stars version, and BBG won't save time because that's all you get out of it, the flag coming down skip but you still have to wait for the bullet and you still have to walk to the castle. That is the best result you can get out of the bullet bill, so you can just call it BBG. If you don't like that you can call it BBFPG (Bullet bill flagpole glitch) or Half BBG or something like that.
Some of these categories may seem useless, but they can give good practice for some things, such as this run right above this post, would be good fast accel practice. Or, the up to 4-2 speedrun, good practice for first 4 levels of Any% if you want to do like FPG, 1-2g or something
Also does anyone have tips for practicing duck jumps? I seriously have a hard time with them, and I find when I practice I just get worse as I do it wrong and then I don't exactly know how to fix it. Tbh it's harder than FPG to practice because I just get worse instead of better.

You can believe what you want, whether there be proof or not, like I could say I got a 4:59.15 offline, I believe that but you don't have to. Not even the proof of a PB or WR is guaranteed, maybe Kosmic actually spliced his any% WR so well that none of us could detect it, and he did such a good job of making a recording of it he could show the recording live and everyone watching was fooled (just an example Kosmic most likely didn't splice his record, I watched it live).

You could use Sockfolder rom instead and then you will actually know the exact pace down to the frame you are on each room

@paintophobia But then mods don't have to spend time watching your video, and seeing if it's legit, so it would make sense if it got verified instantly, it should be faster if you don't post video

Tbh, just because other people are not using emulator, doesn't mean you shouldn't. You can keep using emulator, though it may be a bit more difficult because there is input lag (I'm sure you know this) but if you can get a computer like RoyLGamer (who somehow managed to get his computer so good that he has no input lag at all, which makes me WutFace and PogChamp ) then it'll be just as good as the original game on the original console with the CRT TV. But just do whatever your comfortable with, I play with emulator and it works perfectly fine with what I'm doing, even with quite a bit of input lag. You can get used to it as well and it won't be that bad. Something as silly as input lag shouldn't be holding you back no matter what you are doing.
