It could just say "In-game time" or "Mission Time (results screen)" instead of a category name. People will understand. Categories shouldn't even be a part of a level leaderboard. Usually level leaderboards organize by a difficulty, and since there's no such thing here, it should just be a column titled "(something having to do with in-game time)". The simplest way to explain what you are allowed to do/not do is to just state that if the results screen doesn't give you your time, it's an unacceptable attempt. This way we can avoid people complaining about their favorite category not being a part of the board. I really think we should keep this as simple as possible and only include the levels/missions that have a time stat. Many missions are missing from the other games' IL board simply because of a missing IGT stat. This board should be no exception.

Remove all of the missions without a time stat on the results screen. Same for the recently added strangers and freaks missions (someone will have to post which of these have a time stat). In the end, everything with a time stat can be added to that leaderboard, assuming something is currently missing. One category, Any%, and here's how this will work. Since using a mission skip and taking a cab prevents you from seeing your mission time, these wouldn't be options when doing ILs. The category will remain Any%, but if you do something which blocks the mission time, your time will not be considered. We'll no longer use RTA for timing. The results screen time stat will be what you post in your submission.

The benefits of this would be a very simply verification process. 100% accurate times on the leaderboard. Yes, some missions will be removed, but I think that's fine. The other GTA leaderboards only include levels with time stats, so this would be following that trend.

^ We won't be doing this because, as of now, submissions that include a "without loads" time are given higher priority over over those with only a "with loads" time -- i.e., a higher RTA time will be shown as the best time on the Level Leaderboard page if it's the only submission which also has a time under "without loads".

I've removed all of that stuff regarding "proper strat(s)" requirements. You can submit a Classic% attempt to NMS and Any%, if you'd like, as well as a NMS to Any% (I've been verifying these anyway for a little while now).

If I'm remembering correctly, when you take a cab and/or use a segment skip during a mission, the results screen won't tell you your mission time. I think it says NA or something. This means submissions with proper Any%/Any% NMS strats (for the most part) will never have a time to use for the leaderboard, even if these missions include a time stat on the results screen.

Using the IGT would work for every Classic% submission, of course, but then we're left with a mix of IGT and RTA. I feel it's best to keep it consistent and use RTA throughout. Masks and Boiler Suits use IGT simply because they're so short.

I compared the end of my best RS to the end of what was one of Ilias' better or best RS. This compares all of the non mission parts (and a few during missions like driving to RR and the drive to the club at the start of M&tM) between the video warp after Rigged to Blow and finishing the final mission before Roman's Sorrow.

Kyle's route/strats: 39:01 - 39:23 = :22 (To Dimitri (M&tM marker) using the cop car outside of the apartment, called Roman (x2)) 39:37 - 39:51 = :14 (Cop car to club marker) 39:53 - 39:57 = :04 (Cop car into trigger inside the club) 40:13 - 41:14 = 1:01 (From M&tM finish, cop car to Brucie, wait for Roman's call, into Brucie's marker) 41:20 - 42:04 = :44 (Start of 1st Brucie mission to Lyle marker (average cab)) 42:18 - 42:31 = :13 (From S&D finish, cab to B, into 2nd Brucie mission marker) 43:49 - 44:24 = :35 (End of 2nd Brucie mission up to the point of triggering Jacob for RR) Total: 3:13 (22 seconds lost waiting for Roman's call, would have been 2:51)

Ilias' route/strats: 40:37 - 41:22 = :45 (Took cop car from apartment, drove to Brucie, called LJ (x1) and Roman (x2)) 41:26 - 42:17 = :51 (Start of 1st Brucie mission to Lyle marker (no cab)) 42:32 - 42:58 = :26 (From S&D finish to Dimitri's marker using Sentinel at Lyle's apartment) 43:11 - 43:27 = :16 (Sentinel to club marker) 43:29 - 43:34 = :05 (Sentinel backed into the trigger inside of the club) 43:51 - 44:38 = :47 (From M&tM finish, drive Sentinel to Jacob's RR trigger) 46:24 - 46:39 = :15 (RR complete to the start of Brucie's second mission) Total: 3:25 (never waited for Roman's call)

I have no interest in entertaining the majority of this lunatic's delusions. Who in their right mind would even believe for a second that someone is able to run countless scripts throughout a 4+ hour speedrun and manage to pull it off? This psychopath believes that I'm literally sitting back in my chair as a script drives the car for the majority of the drives in this game. The day I go to any length to prove that this isn't happening is the day you can replace him with me at the nut house. Anyone who watches my streams knows I don't always get "second van" and knows Easy Fare doesn't always go flawlessly. So many of his concerns can be explained with the simple fact that I'm more skilled than him, but he immediately shuts down when the word "skill" is mentioned. Can someone sit down with this guy and explain to him the concept of "skill" and how two people can put an equal amount of time into something and come out with varying ability? Yeah, good luck with that. I compared my handling file to Ryedawg's out of my own curiosity. They were identical. There're many online tools to accomplish this with. I'm not mentioning this to satisfy Ilias. I'll address the "concerns" to hopefully satisfy those of you who are sane.

  3. The only split file I have with splits for the first four missions shows a 9:19.82 best possible time for First Date. He claims his is a 9:23:xx. We all know neither of our splits are 100% accurate.

Every video created because of these accusations has shown nothing suspicious is going on, even those put out by Ilias show this. It's only his delusional ranting on these videos which might make someone think otherwise. Oh, and here's a video showing my RS personal record, achieved live on stream on Nov. 10th, 2015. It was the first attempt of the night. Can't wait to see how this is used. (Blocked in Germany and a part at the beginning is muted, otherwise it would have been blocked worldwide)

It's not needed. Every last person speedrunning on PC can do this. No one is at any more of an advantage than anyone else. It doesn't need singled out any more so than the use of programmable mouse buttons and DPI changes, mid run, do.

No, in my eyes, this is something which should obviously be allowed for PC speedrunning, for all games, and shouldn't be singled out. These things are functions of the console which aren't modifying the game's files. It'd be like adding a variable for "Did you stream this run from the same PC that the game was running on?".

(w/o heli) (WNWK marker - entered the warehouse): 1:29:07 - 1:30:41 = 1:34 (exited warehouse - end marker): 1:31:13 - 1:32:18 = 1:05 Total: 2:39

(w/ heli) ¤(WNWK marker - entered the warehouse): 1:53:53 - 1:55:12 = 1:19 ¤(exited warehouse - end marker): 1:55:52 - 1:57:27 = 1:35 Total: 2:54

From WNWK's end marker to TLC's marker ¤(w/ heli): 0:49 (w/ cab): 0:34

Grand total: (w/o heli): 5:38 (w/ heli): 5:41

The timings with an ¤ come from my Classic% run. I adjusted them to reflect nearly perfect movement from Packie (getting him out of the boat, up into the heli, as well as from the top of the dock down to the end of mission marker). The results show that this is slower than current strats.
