How to speedrun:
1.) Play the game to completion 2.) Repeat step 1 until you're completing the game even faster 3.) Repeat step 2
Yup just a glance at statistics can tell you that runs have been verified much sooner. If there IS a run waiting verification for that long, it's probably for a good reason. The mods probably want to make sure they don't verify a cheated run, or something along those lines, idk.
Either way it's not your run so it really doesn't concern you. Unless you're the runner in question and you just made a second account to push the issue.
Yeah all three mods are active. Hell Outworld followed me on Twitter like 2 days ago. Your account is also new and shows no runs submitted (though I'm not sure if it counts unverified runs, I think it does).

Just the reality of it. No amount of shedding light on any game will cause the community to have a great surge of interest. Best you can do is create a leaderboard, create a discord server, and in 6+ months you might find another runner.
Alternative: Create short meme categories that anybody can pick up in 5 minutes. Won't gain any real runners but it would "grow the community".
Basically you can't force people to like or play a game. And if the leaderboard is already dead, safe bet it'll stay that way for a long time.
Remove lag from what? From individual games? They wouldn't waste their time (nor do I think that can be accomplished with ease). They could just slap any shitty emulator on there and have the game run much faster though, but why bother? They probably just jacked a NES emulator off the internet :^)

Something like NES is "figured out" honestly. Most emulators are accurate enough. Can't speak for NESclassic or VC. Those tend to be slower I THINK.
Edit: and the "figured out" part is for pretty much every NES game. Emulation only starts to get sketchy with newer systems.
