@KrazyBossYT why would length matter for someone wanting to run it on an emulator anyways
for anyone wondering, seems like both runs where succesfully accepted on boards about 20 hours ago, so good ending :D
his 2 newest runs are not there yet, but they accepted him so hey
oh the action guide does not work on emulator? that's a good observation I didn't know about
to not put hopes very up, there is low chance of this category gets on the leaderboard unless it happends to get a considerable amount of attention; but yea for category purposements you can go to the category extension of the game or to it's respective place in the discord server and purpose it, then comunity and moderators have some criteries on whether or not they accept the run on the leaderboard
@EllaTAS he knows he can't, that's why he is asking to get it allowed lol
there is a few switch emulators out there that haven't been touched
if the entire screen is visible and audible, yea
@Hannah_TGP_8 you mean skipping the tutorial? you simply click/touch on the top right icon where you can open the map, if you still in the tutorial the skip tutorial prompt will pop up instead
@Creepr101 inversely to your "become verifier and get more respect", generaly a user will need to get a significantly substantial amount of respect among the comunity members for that chance of them accepting him as a new verifier/mod/etc. , specialy if it is a big game like SMB1, or at least have something significant to contribute with that
Nothing against the OG with that btw, he does seem to have a point for something here so that's cool, not my decision
Indeed, just verified both runs :D GGs!
Lost time at the start and at the end bein stop in the rock climbing run lol, but the run is perectly verifyable. As a general tip, 1. you can put the livesplit into allowing to start t he timer while you select another window so that it isn't a problem; and 2. anyways is more important to do play it fast in it's own than making sure the livesplit is completly accurate, the runs are retimed after for their exact time, the timer pretty much just works as a reference for the runner
well you could argue that a hacked switch is the only legal medium by which you can obtain the game rom for the emulator without pirating it anyways (just a counter-argument, not an opinion against emulators)
@Tsunaim29 just checked, both videos are on the pending tab and your allscrolls run video seems to work fine, however tho your just submitted rock climbing run has the video private so change it to simply hidden or public in order for it to be verifyable.
Will get verifying more submissions hopefully tomorrow. Welcome to speedrunning! :D
2 ways actualy:
-
if version is rc5 or earlier, you can just hold space inside the tutorial minigame entrance and go away without releasing it, it will simply get skipped alone
-
in any version, a bit trickier, do TSS (Tutorial Skip Skip), pausing the game with mouse just as you reset the game and then back with the mouse clicking on yes to skipping tutorial; you won't get warped out by doing it like this correctly, which means it is allowed in warpless
is not allowed in 1p cause CRCing by definition requires going into 2p , which is the one thing that 1p bans lol
actualy tho, the most recently played runs ("recent runs" tab) were verified on august 1st
has no one verified any run in almost 2 months?
yea the minecraft board is completly out of control with the amount of runs in pending and they take very long
does that mean to consistently hold up in the joystick?
