That isn't a WR. I'm the only person who even bothered to do the category. Plus its over 2 hours long and not a 40-50 minute category. Now like idk about how much faster it is for this but on Unlock All Char's, it says its banned "DLC is NOT included or allowed AT ALL" but like I said, not sure about this category. But as DarkAbe says, it "gives you a significant time advantage over runs that don´t use that". Maybe we should split the categories or like we could keep them on the same. Like idk. Does anyone know how much it does save?

Alright lads so as one of only 2 people who actually developed strats for the category, I think I have some insight. 1).Any level where Luigi has to bubble, there is an underlying strat and you can see that in 5-4 mainly, where he strategises where he will bubble. In Multiplayer, cycles are different to single player and that's also dependant on when my buddy bubbles. 2). I can almost guarantee that if he and I were not to use the bubble, ngl, we would still have WR by a large margin and 3). What is the point of complaining when the current rules just makes the category easier and more accesible.... but sorry for trying to play optimal, I'll go slower next time

Okay hi, as the person who put this game on sr.com, i feel obliged to state my reasoning for not allowing the run. 1). Emu has really been frowned upon for many of the later consoles, speciifically PS2 and Wii/GCN because of the main advantage of faster loads. There might be lag in minigames but someone with a better PC could avoid that and kinda take a lead because of all the time saved on loads and lets be honest, there is a lot of load times. 2). The controller could be modified since emulators allow for that. Yes, you may have used WiiMote and I am not saying you haven't but firstly, we can't 100% you did that using your PB video as source material and that just because you didn't use something else, doesn't mean other people will follow in your footsteps.
So I am gonna talk to the other mods about this and get an overall ruling but personally, thats why I think emulator should be banned
edit: Cosmoing put emu to hidden anyways so you can have it on the boards but you are fighting with other emu runners and console vs. console etc.
BECAUSE HITTING A BUNCH OF PEOPLE WITH A CHAIR AND GETTING DQ'D FOR 80% OF THE GAME IS INTENDED, RIGHT? If you ask any, ANY, other logical community with PS2 as a platform, you will know the emulator's are banned. But what makes it even worse is that the point of speedrunning is to beat the game as fast as possible, right? Well why the fuck can't we just use the goddamn exploit? What could possibly make you think that we shouldn't be able to use it? It's less fun? Less gameplay? Are you kidding me? This game is as much of a meme as this community. How is going faster through the game a bad thing compared to just hitting people with fucking chairs. And for the record, I don't care that emulator is allowed. I care more that people haven't done anything to even tackle the problem which is clearly there. I'm done with this cause I'm struggling to want to live. I know as soon as I post this, you and someone else are probably going to band together the try and make me look like a fool even though, ask anyone outside of this forum about this topic and they should give you a similar response to me. But for the love of god, ef14, if you want this game to even see the light of day again, just try changing it so you can use the exploit and just get rid of emulator or give it its own category or something. Otherwise some nerd like Robot will have WR forever just because he is too up his own arse to buy a PS2 and therefore, uses an emulator to have a free WR that nobody should care for. I enjoy this game and I want something to grow from this but I don't understand some things here.

Ok. I'm a lil' pissed off now. I just nearly bopped 2nd place with a PS2 against his emu run and I am 95% sure I would have gotten WR if 1st place had done it on PS2 so can you fix it pls. PS2 emulators are banned in everything else and I have no idea why youre so adamant to keep them here. But whatever
It wouldn't be verified if it had no video but we can accept audio. So if you record audio, we will accept that
Robot: There's a reason people don't like it when others use emulators. It's because they are not using the console it was made for and are in turn, receiving a huge advantage whilst not staying true to using the hardware that it was concepted on. If an emulator was found which matched the loads, it would be ok, but using incorrect load times doesn't reflect what the actual fastest time for a run in RTA is.

I'm playing on PS2 and I see a really clear load time difference in my loads to WR on emulator. For the vast majority of PS2 games, emulator is banned because of this blatant unfair advantage. I would highly prefer if emu was either 1. banned all together, 2. separated from the legitimate PS2 leaderboard or 3. someone found a PS2 emu which matched near exactly the loads of a legit PS2.
