If I couldnt get any usual name I would go with something like BetterScores.com or BetterHighscores.com

@PMniac I dont think emulators should be banned unless they are marked as emulator runs clearly and have video evidence. 99% of us will play Arcade games on MAME. And highscores are usually from arcade games.

So... just hypothetically. If you take, mine, scrape highscores from other pages... is that actually copyright infringement? I mean these are public records... no?

I think it makes sense to try No 3, ask them, and if that doesnt work out or is too expensive, then we will come back to rethink.

3 is interesting if you can buy it for a reasonable amount of money. Especially because of the data. Starting at zero is rough.

Then again maybe starting at zero would make people wanna submit a lot of scores and eventually this new page becomes so popular that old scores from other pages would be moved here as well by those people.
