I don't run the game, and there aren't a lot of submissions.
Obviously I haven't played in a year, but what happened to Oz? Why is the ONLY mod of the game somebody who hasn't run it? The other guy did a good job retiming everything to the frame.
You need 23 hearts to play past the first screen of Core C
The same should go for wording in All Red Berries, there shouldn't be any say in how you collect the berries, if somebody wanted to quit out after the last berry and do a B-Side, it shouldn't invalidate the run as long as they get 175.
Separately, Core shouldn't be required to beat imo, as it has nothing to do with the goal or the badge you get on your profile from collecting all red berries. I feel like the rules in general have seemed very forceful in what exactly to do rather than "do this one goal, whatever route". Just my two cents.
I'm fine not modding this game.
As regular mods, we can note remove ourselves, that would be up to Broedgeman or swordsmankirby.
After watching most of that video it just seems like you aren't as practiced in the category as I was when I did my run. You can't expect to tie a record because you copy the route. If you're looking for advice on where to improve that's one thing, but assuming there is some sort of hardware thing at play isn't the right thing to jump to. Yes, loading screens are affected (and has been known/acknowledged as a non-issue in most communities if console is faster), but nothing else seems to be. Keep practicing, and ask for help if you need it.
It won't be split. FDS is faster than emulator for most (if not all) PS1 games. Regardless, I wouldn't recommend being hung up about 2 seconds in a 3 hour long run that has plenty of mistakes and timesave throughout. I do know my run had a strong opening, but I doubt there are many inaccuracies considering you're able to keep up in the other categories. Good luck!
seems unnecessary to bring the other game's drama here, 2 minutes isn't hard.
You've shown repeatedly that you care about the game and its community, so I gave you mod of the series. Let me know if you have any questions about how to use the tools/features/etc. Always around to help, but I trust you've got a handle on things around here. GL and thank you!
@Liv Hydro didn't approach me, but somebody spoke to me pointing me in the direction of the post. I agree with the decision and have removed myself from the game. We've had trouble getting in touch with whatsoup in the past, but if the other 2 mods agree the game should probably removed from that series and just solely be a nicktoons game :)
We've tried hosting the leaderboards here and they haven't had any submissions. I'd be happy to import the boards from cyberscore myself if results from this site thread https://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/1gbee don't cover it already.
It has been nearly two years since I brought up this issue regarding the missing game, and there still doesn't seem to have been much, IF ANY, progress on the matter. I have been waiting patiently for the game to be added so I can finally speedrun the categories you deem fit for a world-wide leaderboard. Due to the extreme laziness and/or forgetfulness of the series "moderators", I have to adjust my timeline and put my dream speedgame on hold.
It's disappointing that one's dreams and aspirations can fall into the hands of a team so unwilling to cooperate with their community. It saddens me that Rayman Brain Games may never be explored as a top speedgame with plenty of potential to rival the likes of Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario 64, and others. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that our favorite childhood classic deserves to be displayed on a site with such prominence.
I'm sorry, but this crosses the line. The moderator team has 48 hours to resolve the issue before I contact a site administrator. I will have no choice but to take full control of the Rayman series and put an indefinite ban on the four speedrun.com accounts listed as moderators. In case you've forgotten, the name of the game is Rayman Brain Games on PSX.
I am trying to stay calm but this battle has been going on for far, far too long and I would love to see it come to a happy and understanding close shortly. Thank you in advance and I wish you the best of luck on not doing this again in the future, again.
