Wheeling, WV, USAIn addition to this, is the PC Version of the game just directly downloaded from Microsoft Store? Or is it an .exe file that needs to be ran and installed?
Are Emulators for Android allowed in the Android/iOS category? Something like what I use, which is BlueStacks (very bad choice of mine as it is very resource hogging), can install the game and would allow Keyboard & Mouse players to play Crossy Road on their laptop and still submit as if it was played on a phone.

Is there any specific website that is required or reccomended for Website runs? I run Windows 11, integrated Graphics and a low end CPU so any recommendations for less resource requiring website is. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

In order to access the game on PC, you must download the game through a game file, or play it through an emulator. In the link below is a trustworthy emulator from that can work on Linux, Mac, and Windows. You can go to the site and download the "stable version" or the "Nightly Version" if the Stable has not came out yet.
In order to play the game after installing the Emulator, you must have a copy of the Game's file, that is where a ROM file comes into play. A Read-Only Memory or a ROM file allows for a game to be downloaded onto a file and not tampered with. It will most likely be in a zip file, which you may use applications like WinRAR, or 7-Zip to unzip it to a useable format. Once unzipped, use your emulator to open the ROM file and then you will be able to start running the game.
I would love to become a part of the moderation for this game. I'll work on guides and resources as soon as I can be added to the team.
As for the Nintendo DS/3DS Emulators, that would work very well too. Adding those will allow even more variety through the runs of this game.

My suggestion is to honestly, if your up to it, allow Emulators for the game. If there isn't a way to still access the game on discs, or on a digital game store (something like Xbox Gamepass, etc.) I would love to speedrun the game but I don't have any of the consoles like the PS2. I was looking into a way to download the game's file to load it onto a PS2 Emulator, because that seems very possible to do.
About some PS2 Games, its very possible that some games deny the access for PC Gamers to play the game due to the Moderator's making a decision to keep the SRC Game as "PS2 User Only" as possible. This only denys the game popularity, but in turn keeps the game to only one console that allows users to focus on to improve themselves in that single category.
My personal opinion is allowing PS2 Emulators because it allows some PC gamers to play the game rather than just the PS2 console players. I was wondering about that to start with when i made my original post but didn't ask about it. It seems like you have an amazing coverage of categories in the game, and an amazing amout of areas for SRC Community Members to run.
I was also wondering if you would like some help with this game, I would gladly help you with the resources and guides, and later on with verifying runs. I know this is your first time moderating a game and I would like to help if you would like to allow me to.

Hi there Mr. SpeedRunFan2022, I was wondering if you could add some basic resources to this game's page. Such as a download for the game that is secure for a user to download.
Along with this, I was wondering if you could post a guide into how this game works, how to submit runs for specific categories, and other things. I understand that your are a newer moderator (and also a lone moderator for this game) but I am just trying to make this page more user-friendly as I myself might like to speedrun this game in the future.

Very easy game to run, very fun, fast levels make running and improvements very encouraged. Amazing Moderators for both this game and other games of the series. Seems like this game doesn't have as much traction as it used to have, which saddens me honestly. But hey, if anyone is looking for a simple run or 2 to add to their lists, I encourage the Moto X3M Series to be those runs.

Side Question for anyone who is willing to answer, how would a user classify one as a bot?
- I understand if they post scam links or other 3rd party links/downloads, but if they are just an old account that someone made to take up the name slot is that also classified as a bot?
- Is there a way to filter out these users if they are bots?
- Is there a script that can be ran to filter users into time made instead of actual name? Is this a good idea for a script that could be made/a site feature that can be added?
Any input is welcomed I am just curious but I would like to report these bots to help make the SR.C Community more "purely user" instead of bots and users combined. As some users on here, (like myself), are trying to truely help other speedrunners and having bots on the site is something that kind of aggravates me as someone who tries to work for a spot on the site. I really enjoyed reading this post, honestly learned a good bit about SRC and it's specific terminology. Very unique sense of talking about certain things as I have actually not seen or heard of a lot of these terms in speed running streams but I suppose it is game specific for some things. Thanks for taking your time to write and update this post. It's truely something to help newer people to the Speedrunning Community understand what is being talked about in posts and videos so they are knowledgeable when they need to explain something aswell. I appreciate the work you guys put into this and hope you guys continue to update this as we grow as a community.

Don't worry about your time right now, try to focus on completing the requirements for the speedrun category, and finding new strategies to cut down on your time later. Speedrunning isn't always about your time, but rather the player's skills and abilities to do things inside of the game to complete it with efficiency and then focus on cutting time after you know you can complete the run itself. I am sure that the games your trying to run have plenty of runners and staff that would gladly help you improve your running capabilities and give you tips, tricks, and strategies to run even more efficiently than you can by self-improvement.
Okay, thank you. Was just wondering because I didn't know about how the timing worked for this game. Wether it was In Game Time or Real Life Time because I know of some games that don't tell users publicly and put stress on moderators to do retiming because user's arent aware.
Hi, my name is HippoLays, I know the name is odd, Well I figure I might as well start on the back story of my name as this is an Introduction. My name comes from one of my older usernames, Hippoly, I figured that the name Hippoly was a little bland, and hard to say, so I came up with "HippoLays". Now I am not new to the speedrun community. I have speedrun games before, on older accounts of SRC, but they are all forgotten now. I am a young Male, from the hills and farms in Northern West Virginia, just trying to have fun and enjoy my life online.
Goals: Some Goals I have as a speedrunner is to make a name for myself in the Speedrunning Community. I have always wanted to be known for something and leave behind a trail of crumbs for the next user that wants to know my story to find. Another goal of mine personally is to make a big impact on the moderation side of SRC. This includes proving some users that not all mod farmers are bad, one small plan of mine is to become a moderator of many games, from very popular games, to 0 active player games, in hopes of #1 finding out about a moderation cap on users, and #2 allowing old games to possibly be revived and for pending runs to be accepted after moderators went inactive. I can't say that I won't try to run farm some of the old games that have been forgotten, but if I do it is in hopes of finding new strategies on these forgotten games and post Guides for new users with the same hopes as mine to use and find strategies of their own that I never even contempated about.
About Me: In reality though, I am using this community, and speedrunning in general, as a distraction from an addiction I am attempting to overcome. It has been working very well and I hope that it continues to do so as I enjoy speedrunning in my spare time. It is a very good distraction from time to sit down and try to find new ways of beating a game, and new strategies to shave off even miliseconds of a IGT run. I hope that anyone else dealing with something like addiction can find the strength to overcome it and find a good distraction to help them continue to keep away from the world of addiction.
Anyways, enough about me I suppose. I hope this introduction gives anyone who reads a small view into who I am, and my goals on how I hope to change this community for the better.
