The performance is kinda random, but most of the time Windows is better than HTML5. Also Windows version actually saves files. The Web version also saves the game data but in a virtua place somewhere in the browser files and the only way to see the files is with the developer options.

• Added version 1.0 to full game run category
• Changed "1.2 and older" to "1.1 & 1.2"

Note: 1.0.1 is missing in the category title because it is exactly the same as 1.0 but with support for WASD controls.

I am also thinking about adding a category for runs like 1.2 with modified player speed, deathless pacifist and other extra challenges you could do.

We have already experienced this time period, so in short:

1.: Who knows the game better? Some internet user who's been playing it for a few hours at best or the developer who spent months developing it?

2.: You were just finding and/or coming up with an excuses to hate me.

3.: Giving "lol no xd" to rejection reason is as proffesional as fixing broken stuff with a duct tape. If you weren't sure if the rule about modifying the player speed exists, you should have checked the rules. Not knowing the rules is never an excuse.

That is very likely that i have removed it while rewriting the rules. Your rules weren't terrible but were not the best either.

Low fps is, at least for me, mostly a "bug/weird behaviour" in gamemaker when there's an Explorer window open in the background. Reason why the Web version runs with no issues might be that it isn't working with the file system like Windows build does. Try just minimising all Explorer windows and it should work. 🤔

Black Box Jumper 2 MAY be released somewhen in the future. A BBJ 1 remake MIGHT be released somewhen in the future, but there's no reason to make the very same game just in different engine, so you will have to wait for it for a (long) time. Regarding BBJ 1 there is a 1.5 update which is currently gonna be a levels update, but other some other stuff will be added/fixed/changed as well.

Since i told him not to change the page without asking me he's been pretty quiet, which is really good. Jess is a mod just because he requested the page, if he was a normal mod he would have been banned ages ago after all this. The only thing he can do with this, is to leave. Trying anything else will only result in me having more reasons to get him removed from this page as well.

• Entirely changed the category layout to finally make it look nice and synoptical.

I would like to become an admin or supermod of this page http://speedrun.com/bbj/ as I already asked the page creator to give me super mod many times. I was initially ok wth him being admin, but he always refused to give me super mod and kept constantly changing the layout making many runs dissapear. If possible I would like the current mod to be kicked or demoted to verifier. Today we came into dispute how to name a category and he just decided to kick me instead of trying to comee to a solution. The reason he's super mod is because he sent the request first. He also made an unofficial discord server with no other purpose than to make me angry. Please note I'm the only developer of the game and there's too low game traffic× to have some unknown person to moderate the game. ×in other words not many people play it and there's around 1 submitted run per week on average.

UPDATE: He removed all versions except for 1.3 and 1.4. There are quite big difference between versions. For example there's huge difference between 1.4(.0) and 1.4.2 where the player controls were completely redone to allow for customizable controls and option to play user made levels was added. Also his "good" solution to nonexistent problem of having two versions categories is to ban all version older than 1.3.

1. It's attempts, not lives.
2. The point of 100% is to have a perfect run with 0 attempts. Splitting it into no-death and any-death category would destroy its purpose and would make the category unnecessarily complicated.
3. 150% makes no sense because it would mean 1 and a half game.

If you want to speed run the game and not care about the attempts choose Any%.
