I got really curious trying to find stuff and I found this. There's actually 2 different ways to go out of bounds, this way is the hardest way. If you go to the very top of the wall and go under the blue line you go out of bounds more consistent.
Alright, so I'm in the works of making the video of the glitches but I actually have to put posting it on hold for a bit. My internet is kind of slow so it takes a bit to post videos, and the reason I'm saying this is because I'm posting another video of something I think is kind of better. I'll post that video within an hour or so and the video of all the glitches I'll try to post by the end of the day.
I'll do it today
Edit: I can't actually do it today, I'm actually not free enough today to do it. I'll do it tomorrow for sure though.
I got a 2:39:52 just now, I'm getting closer.
I'm pretty much just going to keep running full game until I get around a sub 2:30 which is what I though I could get when I did my first run. I'll probably just practice the skips until I can get them first try every time and the rest will just be fighting and movement optimization.
Although I didn't record it because I still don't have a capture card, I still want to tell you all what happened. I decided to run the full game any% new game+ because I basically only do IL runs. I messed up a lot in the beginning (if I remember right I got to sandman around 1:05:00). I messed up sandman and vulture a bit and then beat my scorpion PB by 20 seconds, and then on deadpool I skipped the tidal wave dialog by zipping to a pole and killing myself. After a pretty dreadful act 3 I went into mysterio really wanting to end the game, I ended with 8:51 and got a final time of 2:43:13. I'm really looking forward to actually recording a full game run now.
Well after a small grind I've lowered tutorial, Hammerhead, Electro, and Sandman. I also recorded Hobgoblin and I will most likely post all of the videos tomorrow. Hopefully I can get all of the easy records by the end of the week, and after that I'll probably just fix some slow times I have.
You have to change the secondary to change pause, if that's not the problem I don't know how to fix it.
For kai tak you pretty much can't finish it more than once with the save/load on so as long as you don't go there with the glitch active you're safe. Otherwise you need to restart the game and activate it again. Hope this helps.
Well after messing around with the game I decided to lower juggernaut's il time because I don't really play that level much, and after playing it through I ended up getting a 5:56 on that level and this time I recorded it (so get ready for some garbage quality videos). I'll have the video posted within the next few hours.
I proved myself wrong
I got this time getting grabbed in the first person section so you can totally lower this time to about 7:20 or under.
Well that was fast, this is my new Kraven PB
Still working on Hobgoblin, from playing it a bit I'm starting to think the fastest time with current strats is around 7:30. I really hope I get proved wrong.
After taking a little break from running this game I'm going to work on getting 2 different times, a sub six on kraven and a low 7 on hobgoblin. I probably won't record it since I don't want to use up a bunch of memory recording on my phone. So instead of recording, I'll just take pictures if I do it and maybe some of you guys can try to record it, I'd give details on how to do it if needed. Here are my current pb's for the two levels (these are on easy). Kraven: 6:03 (not recorded) Hobgoblin: 7:45 (not recorded)
Wish me luck if you even care, I'll post the times in this thread if I get them.
Or some kind of role that can verify, I check the website regularly so I could review new runs within the same day of posting.
It's probably not, the world record is already so optimized that you would have to basically find new strats to go faster. There's a slim chance it might happen but I don't really think so unless something changes
Hi, I just started running this game today and I'm loving it so far. The bad news of all of this is that I play the game on xbox 360 and I don't own a capture card at the moment. So my question is if I were to do something like an IL speed run could I take a screenshot of the time and submit it? and if not then could someone at least tell me about any cheap capture cards that I could use?
I took a pretty long break from the game to focus on other runs but it's been months since the last record was set. So I'm coming back to focus on optimization and finding new tricks to use in future runs. Maybe I'll find more things, I kind of lucked out with the double jump so I might luck out again. Hopefully I could get ALL of the records by November (you know, cause year and stuff). I'm putting this message here in the forums because I kind of want all of your help too. The more people we have doing this the faster we can lower times and get some world records under our belts.
