I am planning on adding the rest of the levels as categories, however I have not had the time to play the game through to its completion to see what all the levels are, or have been able to find a list online of all the levels. If you have a list of all the levels please let me know :)
a lot of people do that as long as the video is a run of both categories (for example a run with/without items, if you do a run without items it is technically a run with items as well) However some moderators prefer if you submit just the part of the run that is applicable, but there is nothing against it.
demos normally go under a couple questions when being decided if they should get leaderboards, such as "will this game get a full release?" "is there enough gameplay in the demo?" "should the leaderboard be put aside until the full game releases?" and a couple other questions.
also, some demos were accepted a long time ago that would probably not be accepted now, due to changes in the request criteria.
That is why some demos are on the site and some are not.
Hello everyone! I never really did one of these so I figured there would be no better time than now. I've been on the site for around 4 years now and have done roughly 1000 runs on various games, a few of my favorites being KDL, Luigi's Mansion, and just about everything atari. I've recently joined the SRC team as a content mod and figured I should introduce myself a little better to the people who may not know me. So hello to everyone and feel free to msg me on discord or on here if you need help :D
I just double checked, your game request is still in the queue, not sure why it isn't showing up on your end though. just rest assured it is in the queue and we will get too it soon :)
I prefer to do all my runs that I can on original consoles, however some consoles are difficult to do that with, like with gameboy games, you need to get a japanese SNES and a japanese SGB2 so you can run your games are the same speed as original hardware, so I emulate those. Some games however will ban emulators due to differences between original console and emulated gameplay, so keep that in mind when looking at games to run. As for running on actual console, you would need to buy a capture card to get a proper recording of it, but as long as the video is clear enough, just pointing your phone camera towards the TV would be good enough for most leaderboards, so long as they can clearly see the gameplay.
I've done runs of guitar hero 3 and the donkey konga series and to be honest there is no real difference in gameplay, but that being said, I don't think a game should be removed just because it does not have much time differences in a run or the ability to be improved greatly.
it's including all of the individual levels run I assume, there are a lot of IL's for that game and a couple that have multiple runners, plus that many subcategories as variables is messy because every combination leads to different boards with different runs
a couple things here, 1. you are asking for basically free advertising from people. 2. this is not a speedrunner, it is just someone who can beat a game and record it 3. you say contact me but have no contact info 4. "people already buy game and do playthroughs" but in the first one "I don't have any playthroughs of my games online" so which is it? 5. will probably get taken down by site staff for advertising
also you will need to resubmit your runs with the time is RTA not IGT so you can be ranked properly
the IGT is more accurate than the RTA is, but I can also understand that viewpoint, if it showed the time after you lost a level I'd say just add that to the IGT, but it doesn't, (also I don't think replaying the same level in a run would be allowed if for that very reason if we kept it IGT and someone tried to do that.) but that makes sense so I'll change it to default to RTA, but IL's will still be IGT only
