Hi, since the partial demise of Any% by duping, instead of starting an endless argument about it, i'm thinking we could make an All Missions category, the definition for it would be:

• All Missions on the map that don't disappear when too far away, i.e story missions, Zero, Casino, Wang Cars.
• No duping, since thats the point of the category
• Possibly add schools, because they are still on the minimap and they count as missions, whether they're boring and whatnot, could lead to just leaving them out of the run.
• Trucking, races, and etc will be left out since they vanish from minimap distance.

A temporary solution for Any% could be to add a ''With duping'' or vice versa as a subtitle next to said run, kind of similair to the fps legacy, but not in the comment of the VOD since not many would see it.

Yes, this would've been a meme category or whatever before, but now it haves purpose.

Remove it for NG+ aside from 46 i guess. You obviously cant skip it on new files.

It can be looked at a bunch of ways because of Kojima's design and technically every mission is an ''ending'', because he wanted it to be episodic. The first unskippable credits are at Mission 31. Technically beating the game would be the nuclear ending.

I guess NG+ All Missions would be most accurate, but in this case, what'll be considered Any% for this game? Guess there won't be one as there's so many variables.

Like in an NG file once you get past 31, you have to pass time to trigger MB cutscenes and progress to 46 eventually. But doing the extreme versions of the re-do missions would make it All Missions, no?

In this case we can get rid of ''All Missions'' and make it Any%, but you still have four extra missions after 46, so we have to decide if we want four categories instead of two, we can agree to do those four extra missions, or, find other ways to trigger mission 46 like doing side ops.

Hello, i'd like to clear some things up about all the categories, why is 100% in misc for starters? Not that it matters right now. Adding more categories should be mentioned, because i'll be doing All Missions /NG+/Any% or whatever you want to call it tomorrow most likely, not sure yet.

I routed them myself for All Missions, as fast possible, so i dont know if it should be called Any% or All Missions, as it's technically beating the game as fast possible, without doing the important side ops however since they cant be replayed. I dont think an NG file should be considered Any%, but True ending%, as it's trying to get the final ending.

True ending% would skip the Quiet ending and all of the re-do missions, so you technically aren't ''beating'' the game, but just getting the ending. I dont know myself tbh, it's confusing, so i'm hoping this thread clears some shit up.

Seven do you have an estimate time on an optimized MW run? It kinda feels like it could potentially be much shorter like 5 hours if it's fully routed

Seven, are you routing MW or just doing it blindly? When i tried to run it awhile back it was kinda bad, failed the first boss because of rubber banding and just gave up. I'd help route it but i hate running long 6-8 hour+ games, especially with bullshit rng

For this reason i think this should either be a different category or not used at all, it's basically like a different version of the game. It's not in my 360 version either. If it was say, free on the store or something so everyone can get it then that's fine, but this isn't imo.

I support this as well, 5fps does make quite a bit of a difference. The effects of 25 vs 30 are quite understandable and unfair if you run some tests, simple things like markers triggering earlier on a higher framerate can mean several seconds of advantage solely by that.

The soft reset glitch or whatever does apply to xbox, it's just that i already got two upgrades in that Don Peyote run, so i have to re-do both of them in the new run.

Overall i've done what i could, i fixed the capture card crashes and whatnot weeks back, it's rare that i get internet drops or other random crashes, but they do happen, like in my PB.

What i meant by Tirean blaming me, is that he was the one who mentioned me getting that insane LS time, you even said it in the vid but you didn't know who it was. It wasn't really insane, just me starting the splits after Big Smoke, and i quit the run before the end of LS, then resumed back to normal, it was only for a day.

I did figure out IRC, i'm pretty sure i told you when you came in my stream a few weeks ago, but you forgot, it's fine though. When we race again there shouldn't be any problems. The reason i don't use IRC is because i have noone to talk to there, like you said, the lack of communication this whole time just leads me to believe everyone hates my guts so i don't even bother trying.

I'll unbind the pause hotkey, but i still think that everyone would just pin some other thing onto me, i know that the lung capacity and other things don't reset if you don't fully restart, but that's really annoying to do.

If you want to get nit picky, then Omega got a max health increase like 30 seconds into his vod, and his run still got accepted. Sure the lung capacity is more of a major thing, but really, what difference does it make if you wait for the vallet without swimming or etc?

The reason i went against Post's run is because of what you said in the vid, he could easily just take a break and come back, or use a cheat, etc if he doesn't show his stats at the end.

That was over 3 months ago Zoton, and i only did it ONCE, i've already told this to everyone, but i'm talking to brick walls apparently. Nobody asked me why i've done it besides a few people, and i always answer them unless i just don't want to talk about it.

if you yourself don't know why i did it, it's because i reset at life's a beach a ton of times that day, and just wanted to try splitting after the first mission. I stopped doing it immediately after that. I even mentioned this on Twitter, it's no secret.

I thought people would leave it behind because i stream so consistently, and always show the full run.

I fixed the acid vision/graphics card issue you mentioned a few weeks ago now, the only time the stream ever crashes is if OBS doesn't respond, which forces me to close it, that's what happened in my PB, my capture card was lagging which very rarely happens, then OBS itself crashed for some reason.

And if my internet/twitch goes out, obviously.

I'm only hostile if others are hostile, of which they have been for months. It's clear by now that if someone like Tirean desides to blame you for something, you have to live with it for the rest of your streaming. Can't redeem yourself with anything, no matter how many different things you try, in whatever quantity.
