Yeah faster RTA vs IGT is mostly due because the runner is using a R4 which make his game load time faster. Its a problem with all the GP runs and mission mode. For sure the best way here would be to get the ranking base of IGT and not RTA. But from what I know using IGT will interfere with the settings of the 32 tracks. maybe Goomba or Lanugo correct me here but there is no way of using IGT to calculate rank of GP while having RTA at the same time for 32 tracks runs... no worries my english is also bad. IMO the best way to fix this is to add all the runs like 70 sec compare to the IGT. The problem is that some runs are olders and dont have an image or only have Splits... :/
It's a good Idea I had the same idea in mind ill talk to Goomba and Lafungo about it! :-) something like Balloon Battle% (win a balloon battle as fast as possible)
Tbh I would be down to add a categories extension the same way as its made in mkwii
I'm pretty sure they are allowed since they don't change any of the gameplay
I think separating the runs in different layout could be an idea or imposing one setting for all the runs. For me in the option it's all the stuff checked to the right in the store layout
I agree RTA is a mess in mission mode with all the loading... I could do the calculation of the IGT for sure of all the runs you wanna help @Bittter? I have already started a google sheet of IGT time calculation a while ago Then the last would have to change the way the rank set based on the IGT instead of RTA

Alright! So here are my 3 video its the comparation of 3 different run on WiiU VC Comparasion with 1st place : Comparasion with 2nd place : Comparasion with 3rd place :
What I did was cutting the entire mission. I only took the transition between the missions, the comparation was made only in Level 1 so to have the exact calculation is the multiply by 7 and then subtract one loading time at the end because there is no loading time after wiggler. The average loading time that the wiiU save between the 3 video is (24.033+24.566+25.500)/3 = 24.699s and the total is 24.699 * 7 - 24.699 /18 = 171.5208s
So in conclusion if my calculation are correct 171.521s should be added to all the WiiUVC runs In nsmbds time is added when a run is submitted from WiiU https://www.speedrun.com/nsmbds

Hmm I would say the best solution will be to substract the time of all the loading times by doing an approximation... But I don't think it will be super precise... But for sure we should compare all the platform with the wiiuvc, because it's the one with the less loading time
For the mission run I was thinking creating a google sheets for IGT calculation
Yeah I was thinking creating a google sheets where you can put the timer shown ingame and all the calculation will be set automatically... The only problem is you would need enter it 63 times. If I have I have an approval from a staff member I will go forward and create a first version for IGT calculation.

I have a question, can we calculate the time of the runs with ingame time? Right now it looked people that are playing with non loading time console have an advantage. Am I oubliged to play with the wiiuvc?
