Okay, thanks for the clarification. Do you know anything about different timers, like I mentioned?

Does a run have to have splits to be verified? Also I have to record my runs with my phone, so could I use a Tablet as a timer? I would record the TV and the Tablet while it's timing if that's allowed. Sorry if these are obvious questions, I'm fairly new to speedrun.com.
