Did this strat and saved 5 seconds on my Easy ROTS PB, heh ,doing this on hard is not viable imo you almost never get the quick kill on Harbor and doing it twice in a row is impossible. Also the loading screen is super quick on Lemons 360 it takes a bit longer on OG xbox :( idk what to do. Also you are savage for going for this at the end of your run I have to do it first because I lose the damn fortress every time. Or I get Jedi Hero on Platforms. The game just always finds a way to screw me over I swear I am the most unlucky runner of all time. Theed and Temple are extremely frustrating and you know Cloud City is waiting to cause unavoidable problems. Maybe blow up Tatooine first so they can't pull Jedi. I am also convinced Garrison does absolutely nothing like they forgot to program it or something. Can I get any confirmation on that? Also while Dune Sea can be done super fast Moist Eisely is a nightmare so blowing up Tatoo serves it's purpose. Almost tied PB doing 9 maps with Dune sea lol. Also orbital sensors does something to the AI and makes them potato sometimes maybe.
Would this make it more RNG though because you need the AI to pick a certain map albeit faster?
Hello, It has been brought to my attention that in the PC version you can glitch the game to allow you to play as an unavailable faction in the first four Galactic conquest scenarios. The rules have been change to reflect this discovery. You now MUST play as the locked faction in order for your run to be valid.

I'd say do runs without a timer and time them later if you think it was fast until you can find a fix/different version.

We are dealing with so many more variables now though. It is not consistent like console play yet in my humble opinion.

Having spent hundreds on capture equipment the difference between the expensive Blackmagic Intensity Pro and the very affordable Dazzle DVC100 is negligible. We are talking about a 480p 30fps game, capturing this is no problem. You PC runs look insanly well detailed compared to capturing analog. Xbox One DVR recordings are also really high quality but obviously not cheap.
I do not have enough information to work with this and overturn. I need more evidence. From my experience Ps2 and Xbox emulators are sketchy and have compatibility issues. This game is hard to cheat. This opens a whole new avenue of potential cheating.

As for the barrier/cost of entry... For $20 use a Dazzle DVC100 to record, it is easy to setup, and the quality is perfectly fine. You can find Xbox/PS2 for less than $30. Battlefront is less than $10. While $138 will net you all those items for sure, if you do a little shopping $100 is an over-payment.
No idea how/why it is like that. I just fix it for you. Really weird.
Very cool, although I can't think of a speedrun situation where this would be useful. Keep digging!
Ps. Careful to not crash the game during full game runs. I made a small guide on how to avoid them in the ps2/xbox versions.
Hey Guys, couple of announcements
Changed 100% to All stars in full-game runs because the rules mention only filling the max star requirement and nothing about field tasks or medals. We decided a truly 100% category would be an intense grind so for the meantime until someone submits a run of All Stars I think we can hold off on adding 100%.
Another note since ILs have been added it should be noted that you do NOT need to start from a fresh file to do an attempt of the level. There are no rules mentioned in the categories so we will consider this post to be the official announcement that upgraded profiles are allowed for ILs. This way they can be faster, and faster is better.

No, unfortunately PC does not have a splitscreen mode and the rules say the runs must only be played in splitscreen mode. Would still be interesting seeing what strats you two devise but the run can't be submitted with the way the rules are worded right now regrettably. Hope this doesn't deter you from doing more speedrun attempts in the future.
I'd imagine it would be probably more difficult with 2 people.
