Well if MK was allowed in the helpers section he still might be slower if he has a longer level layout, so I think what is fair might be dependent on the size of his level layout. Maybe if you tried doing a run with MK and compared the time to your own in the dream friends and helper category it would be easier to make a decision (I’m only saying you because you could probably get the most consistent time, I would but I can’t get a decent time period)
Okay, just figured it might attract more attention because since there are less it is much easier to do without mistakes.
What about an Ultimate Choice 1.0 category? Right now competition is pretty low for the top spots in UC, but since 1.0 is so easy and quick it might attract real competition.
My run for Soul Melter was rejected because I accidentally put Sizzling Threat. Is there any way that I can resubmit that run or delete the it so that it doesn’t show that I have a rejected run on my profile?
Ykw I think I know how I can do that easily, so if you’d like I can test it and tell you at some point before the end of the weekend.
If you’re still not sure, it would be possible to measure the damage of all of the non stone attacks combined, and compare that to the damage dealt by the down midair B stone attack, and see if the damage dealt by his and my stone attacks are the same.
Okay so I got a video of me and a YouTube named BeardBear doing the same attack on Void soul at the same phase. I was able to get mine (up to date) without any allies attacking, but in his video (released on March 15 so before 1.1.1 came out), three other allies were attacking. Based on what I can see without further testing on the exact damage of each attack, it doesn’t look like there is any change, unless it is very insignificant.
In this link, I have both clips of our attacks so you can see (my up to date video is the one manually recorded without a capture card): https:/drive.google.com/open?id=1e00j6jyznWxnc6YTQYbh-XPvSIx-E7It
Wait actually, 1.1.1 was after the dream friends update right? If so, then I may be able to find a video of someone doing soul melter and compare damage done.
EDIT: I just found out that it was before the Dream Friends update (I was gonna look for a video that didn’t have them in the select screen), but I did find out that it released on March 16, so I will find a video from before then and compare the damage done from then and now and get back to you guys with a definitive answer.
I will do a rough test soon. I beat Soul Melter on v1.0 I’m pretty sure with stone, so if I do it again I may be able to notice a possible change with its health, unless it is a very small change. I’ll do my best to try to remember the amount of damage I did compared to what I do now. My answer will not be definite nor provide any sort of substantial evidence but it may help.
But that would only be enforced if the new version alteres the health of something.
Hey so I want to try speedrunning an iOS game, but the board wants an on screen timer. Does anyone know of any way that I can display a timer on the video either as I’m playing it or a way that I can edit a timer into the video next to/on the gameplay? Thanks!
Oh, well I’m not sure if the mods did it but the run is set to bomb. Thanks!
I submitted a run for soul melter but forgot to change the character used to bomb, so if possible will a mod please change that?
Yeah so I think I'm out on capture cards. Thanks!
Okay, no big deal cuz it’s less than 30 seconds so I can record it after I find out if it was a good time. (I’m on the Switch)
So can I just submit a shot of the in game time or do I need a video?
I was looking for a capture card for my switch (and possibly 3Ds), but found that they were way more expensive then I am willing to pay. I saw ones around $20, but they only have the three plug setup (idk what its called) and one USB port. Will that work and/or do you guys know of any cheap capture cards that will work for the switch? (Cheap like sub $50, otherwise I'll just stick to recording my TV) Thanks!
