Very simple. Task speedruns could be split between it’s original rules and a new glitchess category.

This would be useful so speedrunners don’t have to change their game version to have a chance at a world record of some sort. Some platforms don’t even allow changing the version entirely.

Although glitchess speedruns would relatively be less skill based in general, they would however allow newer players to enjoy speedrunning the game the way it’s intended.

Perhaps it’s a bit late to add this, since the game has relatively less activity, but it could spark some new life and make speedrunning the game accessible for more people.
