I vote for timing without loads. It is becoming more clear with time that there are many factors with a saturn console that can affect loading times. Not just loading times, but lag is also a factor. I think trying to factor in different mother board revisions and disc drives is already more of a headache than taking the effort to time runs without loads. Plus, I think now is the time to do it since Maria runs have been more active lately in both Any% and All Bosses. Any measures that can be taken to appeal to new potential runners should be taken, and I think this is one of them. This way, no one has to worry about their console setup. They can just play the game on what they have.
I was trying to learn how to do the skip with Carrie, but was having trouble getting it. I'm not sure how precise your position has to be before the clip. Also I was wondering if you need to hold A during the sidehop in order to clip? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. This game looks pretty cool to run ^-^
Hi, can I have my username changed to Pine, if that's not too much trouble?
Thanks
I have an old run recorded back from before I knew how to use splits and properly display stuff. But during a few parts of the run, the xsplit pause screen pops up. I'm guessing that a run of this quality wouldn't be accepted. Is this the case?
Anyone ever have any luck using a ps3 controller with the emulator Yabause? At best mine will only map half the buttons and only one direction in reverse on the dpad.
Thanks for providing the pastebin! I think the commentary there addresses my concerns with the zip in Anti-Chapel. However, as a follow-up question, do you hit the fire button at the same time as the down button for Four Holy Beasts? Or is it down and then fire?
Is there a discord channel that SotN runners use? I have some questions about a glitch used in Maria any% and I am yet to find an explanation for it
Here is a walkthrough on youtube that claims it follows a map that shows the quickest path to reach stage 37. I'm assuming they were following this map: http://www.gamefaqs.com/gameboy/585732-godzilla/faqs/64839 As far as strategies go for each stage, this seems to be a good resource: http://www.gamefaqs.com/gameboy/585732-godzilla/faqs/64838 So if anyone is interested in running this game I think this would be a good starting point. Hopefully I'm not infringing by posting this here, but it seems like nobody runs this game yet. Perhaps this information will serve useful to someone.
