Hyperlife's Tech Compendium v2 (with help from many others who contributed to the original)

aight so in this guide ill tell ya about all the speedrun tech that has been documented.

Template: TECH NAME/suggested shorthand name: difficulty (number of *), frame window description and when its useful

DASHJUMP: difficulty *, no frame window literally just dash and then jump afterwards, it isnt very useful as in most cases you can hyper instead.

HYPERDASH/hyper: difficulty **, frame window unknown (at least to me) similar to a dashjump, but with the inputs closer together. you should get a decent amount of horizontal speed. This is basically the main speed tech you'll use, its useful in basically every level.

EXTENDED HYPER/e-hyper: difficulty ***, frame window also unknown (at least to me) Hyper off the ground with a bit more time between the inputs and you'll retain your dash. not too useful as in most cases a hyper is enough.

WALLBOUNCE/wounce: difficulty ***, 14 frame window jump off a wall after hypering, and you should see a flash of light. useful to climb walls that arent meant to be climbed.

BOOSTER WALLBOUNCE/b-wounce: difficulty ***, 14 frame window a walbounce from a horizontal booster instead of a hyper. useful in places where you need to wallbounce and then dash, as these wallbounces retain your dash.

SPIKEJUMP: difficulty **, 2 frame window, slightly longer if Josie has her double jump spikes have a 2 frame window where they dont kill you, and it is possible to jump in this window. with a little practice, this tech becomes incredibly consistent, with some people getting over 100 in a row

CORNERBOOST/c-boost: difficulty ***, works as long as you are hypering Hyper into the top corner of a block to boost forward and regain your jumps, useful if you can set it up easily as it is faster than a hyper

CLIMB CANCEL: difficulty *, unknown frame window climb up a corner and jump just before you finish to jump slightly higher, there arent many uses but its good to know

MEGA WALLBOUNCE/m-wounce: difficulty ****, unknown c-boost into a wall and jump when you hit it, allows a higher wounce

DASH DROP: difficulty **, n/a press down while hypering or dashing to stop dashing. useful to get away from some thwomps

FASTFALL: difficulty insanely easy, n/a press down while midair to fall faster. Useful exactly when you'd think it would be. Also increases the speed of falling blocks if you are standing on them

FASTFIREBALL/fastfire?: difficulty *, n/a hold dash while in a fireball to go faster, like fastfalling its just a generally useful thing to do

Thus concludes the tech compendium v2, ill edit this when more tech is found
