I am dabbling in learning this speedrun, and while messing around in offline practice, I had this happen:
Now like I said in the description, before starting this file, I did do replays of the X-Wing section, the Trench Run and the Speeder Chase in my first file slot, which is a finished file. I have not been able to replicate it since, but my current theory is that it has something to do with the game storing the Trench Run's completion in the replay and applying it to the new file.
Basically, I'd love to see if someone is able to figure out a way to get this consistently. Thoughts?

I am so late to this post and I haven't run the game since April but I am very intrigued by the way the game sent you straight to the final portion of the Trench run. I'd be willing to experiment around with this if you still want to learn or run the game some more. I haven't done as much with SWAotF due my GB Player working less consistently, so I'm not sure how quickly I'll figure this out.
If this does end up being consistent, I'd recommend this becoming a second category (beat the game, glitches) with there also being a glitchless category in addition. Given this is four months old, if you found anything new since, give me a shout!

Hey Konception, what system were you playing this one? I notice that little gameboy pak menu think on the bottom right where the cutscene should have loaded, do you suppose that has something to do with it?
I'm glad you pointed that out. I never bothered trying that, so I'd be curious to know if Konception input Z to exit the GB Player Menu or input A to switch cartridges. That might make a difference as to whether this category would be limited to GBP or if emulators could also have a seat at the table for this glitchless??? category.

So glad this got replicated! For the record, just played it on a regular GBP though!
