I have a question regarding the behavior of elevators in Portal. I've noticed that when I get on an elevator, it only starts moving once I reach its edge. This has been consistent in my experience, but I wanted to confirm if this is indeed the intended behavior in the game.

Can anyone provide clarification on whether the elevator behavior, where it starts moving only when reaching the edge, is intentional or if it might be a glitch? I'm seeking to understand if this is a feature of the game's design or if there's a specific trigger or condition that I might be missing.

the elevator trigger is basically the entire elevator, but on 05 and 18 you need to be in the back when the dialogue ends.
