Ok, so Oni is really good in this version. I confirmed with the developer that the Japanese version 1.0.6 is International 1.1.0.

I also learned this game did not sell well in Japan so the dlc and last patch will not be released, so I will be purchasing and playing on the more recent version using the US Nintendo Shop.
