I really want to record my runs, so I was wondering If theres a way to do that.

SD cards won't work. You gotta get a capture card, which is essentially drilling a hole in your DS and creating a port so you can connect the DS to your computer via USB and receive the screen with a software. Then you can record on your computer with bandicam or OBS. It's very expensive and inconvinient, and that's one of the biggest reasons I play on emulator (it's so easy to record). 

Alternatively you can point a webcam at your DS, but personally I can't imagine running with a chunk of plastic in front of my face. Some people can do it, but it's probably very painful, and the video quality is often very poor. Also you'll be forced to expose your voice and sometimes even your face (reflection when the screen is black).
