Emergency rules

There's so many things wrong with this leaderboard as it is and we will get to it but it takes time. In the meanwhile because nothing is clearly stated or very much enforced right now: here's some EXTREMELY COMMON RULES that leaderboards typically have and that we will add in the near future, but they are still in effect.

Include a reset, it should be part of submission video - NEVER USE LOAD STATES to start run attempts

If you play on emulator. Include in comments what software you are using. Emulator name and version release.

Game audio and video have to be present, if you cover anything up with subscription animations or playing loud music ontop of the game audio feedback, that is likely getting rejected.

This won't be all of it, but it's clear that some people do not know how the basics of how speedrunning works, and past mods is to blame for this, they never informed you. But it has to stop! Load stating is banned because it can lock you to getting the same exact enemy patterns 100% of the time, which puts you at advantage = cheating.

Here is a good example of a reset

Here is a terrible example of someone using a load state to start runs

I tried the Anthology collection on PS2, next time press select in-game: there's a reset option. Include that and do that for ALL SUBMISSIONS in the future. That's just the ps2 version, but a reset is required for ALL VERSION RELEASES.

Another thing we need to touch is the inclusion of selecting game difficulty. If that's not visibly showcased, I'm not gonna bother review it. Moderators should not have to guess these things, that goes for every game out there. Typically you include option menus before run start to showcase settings for these things, some runs might include it post-credits like "congratulations, you beat hard mode: try your luck on very hard next..." or something around those lines. But this rule is in place to make life easier when old mods whom might know if 1 specific enemy 500 hours into the run might die from 4587 shots or 4589, but new mods (hello) should not have to guess: it should be featured before the run starts.

If these rules were in place from the start by old mods, it would make my life easier now: and it would make life for the next mod after me for when I might be done here 9 years from now: Even Easier!
