**Basics:**

Controls:

Move Character - D-Pad/Left Analog Stick
Jump - X
Attack - ◯
Throw ball - ▢
Block - △
Spin attack - △+◯
Brake - R1

Blocking, spin attacking and braking uses up the energy bar (blue).
Getting hit by enemies, running into spikes, going into water, and hitting terrain at a high speed lowers the health bar (green).



**Useful Tech:**

- Jumping while running is the best way to build up momentum and allows for a lot of terrain to be skipped.

- The last hit of a combo (continuously hitting enemies with ◯) deals significantly more damage to enemies and also knocks them to the ground.

- Jumping and hitting an enemy while in mid-air also knocks them to the ground.

- Enemies holding weapons can be quickly disarmed from a safe distance while approaching them with a spin attack.

- Spinning does 6 damage per hit. Maximum amount of hits is 3, though on average it hits twice, only very rarely and with movement towards the enemy does it hit three times.

- After completing a stage (when the time appears on the screen), you can press Start and Exit Arena to exit the arena faster than waiting for it to automatically load back into the Arena select screen.

**Dash Cancelling**

With enough speed, the normal attack turns into a dash that knocks other characters to the ground. That dash can be cancelled with a jump, and gives you a lot of momentum.
