Region differences

England

Hi guys.

I've considered running this game for a while now, and my knowledge of the speedrun (and even the game) is incredibly limited, so apologies in advance for that.

I can play GCN games on PAL/NTSC/NTSC-J, and I was wondering which version is the best for me to run? I'll happily pay an extra bit to be running on the best version.

Thanks in advance, if I have any more questions I'll post them in this thread.

New Jersey, USA

I'm not sure if there is a difference, although even if there is I don't think it would matter due to the heavy RNG in many parts of the game. I'm a newcomer so I don't actually though, although that's my suspicion.

Hope this helps :)

California, USA

All the regions are the same. You can do the same glitches on all regions, and RNG is evil on every region and no specific region can save you from the RNG.

England

The Japanese version has a blue Nintendo logo when you turn the game on. The others have a red logo.

Gelderland, Netherlands

The real difference is that in PAL you can choose from 60hz and 50hz. Speedruns have to be done in 60hz though, so for just speedrunning the region shouldn't matter.
