I don’t think him having 1 run means anything, I deleted all my runs that didn’t do well.

There's a setting in OBS that you can tick to track the cursor. Maybe they played with that off

It's up to them. Everytime I play on the PC, even if the game requires the mouse, I also choose to not record it
