Adventure Mode In-depth Guide/Tutorial

Beating Psychosquid

Psychosquid is probably the most annoying enemy.
I did some testing and i found out a few things.
He can take up to 50 Level1 blaster hits.

His cycles consist of ≈10 seconds blue and ≈10 seconds red.
The rule does not apply to his firs red form which takes at max 5 or 6 seconds. This is based on his health.

He will forcefully turn blue in his first red cycle if he takes more than ≈70% of his health as blaster damage
With level 1 blasters you can take about 35% of his life (between 16 and 20 hits) before he switches to blue and the normal cycle begins.

With this in mind, you can't kill him in his first red cycle unless you get the help of battle pets.

In this regard, higher level blasters can help you turn Psychosquid blue faster, but won't let you 1 cycle it so they are not really worth if you can 2 cycle with level 1 Blasters.

If you want to practice him i recommend the following:

-Enter sandbox mode
(input the Konami code in the main menu ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A )
(UP UP DOWN DOWN LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT "B" "A")
-Type "time" to see the time (unless you already have it enabled)
-spawn the following
-a Blip by pressing "F" to see Psychosquids life
-some guppies by pressing "1"
-some guppycrunchers by pressing "5"
-and spawn a Psychosquid at a time by pressing "n"
Fight him and try to 2 cycle with level 1 blasters while minimizing the amount of fish he eats.
