- Goddess questions: MIXED
- This route sleeps to Summer in order to access Lyla's loved gift, the pink cat mint flower
- Lyla needs 8 PCM. Latest last gift day is Summer 14; since Lyla's location is variable on Sunday, this means you can lose 4 days max.
 
SPRING/SUMMER
- Exit the house to trigger the sprite cutscene on any day from Spring 2-30. Otherwise, sleep until Summer 1.
- Summer 1:
    > Forage 1 VB/herb/flower
    > Intro+gift Kurt with a nearby moondrop
    > Forage pink cat mint at the Lake. Reset for 2 minimum, but forage no more than 3
    > Intro+gift Lyla before she enters her shop
- Summer 2: Talk+gift both Lyla and Kurt at the garden
- Summer 3: Talk+gift Kurt in Carpenter's area. If there are full-grown PCM, forage them, then come back to trigger CS1. Otherwise, exit and re-enter Carpenter's area to trigger it.
- Enter Lyla's shop to trigger CS2 on Summer 3 or after, on any foraging day.
- When you run out of PCM, use your flex days to sleep until more have regrown, then forage and finish gifting. Can try to gift on Sunday if you need to make up a day due to extra rain, but Lyla may be at the Lake instead of her garden.
- Come outside the day after you get Lyla to 100AP to trigger CS3, then sleep at least 3 times.
- If you only lost 3 days (or fewer), get Lyla's 100AP cutscene on the Summer 17. Otherwise, you will get it on the Summer 18.
- Either way, leave the house on Summer 18, filling watering can if not raining. Plant the Blue Mist seed at the Goddess pond (water).
- The ideal run will get rain on Summer 19 and 20, then through the whole rainy season (Summer 21-26), so either reset upon no rain, or walk to water the Blue Mist.
- Summer 27: Walk to Goddess pond to get the bloom cutscene.
- Summer 30: Walk to Goddess pond to get the butterfly cutscene.
- Fall 7 or later (fair weather): Walk to Goddess pond to complete the ending.

SPRING/SUMMER
- Goddess Questions: POSITIVE
- Sleep the first day. On Wed Spring 3, forage at the Carpenter's and intro+gift Louis.
- Save most foraging for the two days you will trigger Louis's relevant cutscenes. Thus, only grab 2 items on the first forage.
- He eventually needs 16 gifts, so forage accordingly (VBs, BBs, Med/Herbs)
- Only leave house on Wed/Sat, sleeping through rain. Always talk before gifting.
- On Sat Spring 6, forage as much as possible around the Lake and Goddess Pond area (Villa if necessary, although you lose time for each loading zone). Wait outside the Lake area until 2pm, then enter to trigger the flute cutscene.
- Once you reach 115AP, on the next non-rainy Saturday (same day if you reach 115 on Saturday), forage the remaining items, and wait for Louis outside the Lake area again. Enter at 2pm, and this time, after skipping the cutscene, exit and enter again to trigger the Lyla cutscene.
- Continue gifting Louis until 180AP, but on the last day, just talk (no gift). When he arrives at the farm to invite you to play flute with him, accept and complete the minigame.
- Upon the final Bluebird cutscene, sleep for at least a week, then head to the Lake on the first fair day to finish the ending.

NOTES
- You need +140G to start the first day. Different items must be sold in different shops. These include:
	> Louis: Copper Ore (40G), Iron Ore (60G), Moonlight Stone (100G), Pontata Root (80G), Rare Metal (180G)
	> Lyla: Moondrop (10G), Herb (10G), Limestone (40G)
	> Woody: Blue Rock (90G), Copper Ore (40G), Iron Ore (60G), Limestone (40G), Rare Metal (180G)
	> Alternatively, do part-time work. Brush/talk every horse = +150G.
	> Optimally you will buy and plant/water the corn on Spring 2 while waiting for noon (cafe opens).
- Part-time work isn't as bad in this route, since it can be combined with a quick detour to gift Gina on Spring 2.
- This route saves time by using Gina to obtain the Moondrop Dew instead of Katie, since her Wed/Sat location is much closer than the cafe, and since runs generally sleep until Fall dry season anyway. The gift route is tight however, and almost any undesired mild season rain is a reset.
- 10 corn is technically faster than 8, and also saves more time in the case of good rain RNG. If tilling 10, you can either reset for good mineral luck, or some combination of PTW+Limestone/MD/Herb. Another possibility is Limestone+10G on till, plus PTW. You need +200G.
 
 
SPRING
- Goddess questions: NEGATIVE
- Spring 2: 
	> Fill watering can and till the whole first plot. If you get minerals totaling 140G or more, sell them; otherwise, pitch it.
	> If minerals: sell to Louis, then Villa forage, intro+gift Gina, (sell to Lyla,) buy 8 corn seeds.
	> If PTW: Villa forage, intro+gift Gina, PTW, (sell to Lyla,) buy 8 corn seeds.
	> Head to the Lake, reset for weed.
	> Enter cafe, weed intro+gift Katie. Enter/exit for CS1, then re-enter cafe and show Katie the weed 5 times.
	> Head home to plant and water corn. Get the recipe in the bookcase before sleeping.
- Gift Gina on Spring 3, 6, 10, 13, 24*, 27*; Summer 1*, 4*, 8, 11 (* = dry season, no risk of rain).
- Goddess Dress CS1 will trigger on Spring 4 (irrelevant) 
- If 1-2 rainy days on Spring 3/6/10/13, it must be made up by getting a lucky no-rain on Spring 17 and/or 20, else reset.
- Water everyday and harvest on Spring 12, 16, 20, 24, and 28 (last harvest on 24 if 10 plants).
- Need 40 corn by the end of Spring, so reset over crop loss or, if 10 plants and minimal loss, do an extra harvest to continue.

SUMMER
- After gifting on Summer 11, sleep until Summer 14
- Summer 14:
	> Sell corn at Ronald's
	> Wait outside cafe and enter at noon sharp
	> Head to Villa; enter and gift+talk Gina one last time, then exit/re-enter for cutscene
	> Buy cow and chicken, then buy the milker
	> Head to cafe and enter by 5pm
	> Wait at Goddess Pond until Moondrop Dew cutscene
	> Back at the farm, put cow out to pasture, and put chicken in front of your house before sleeping
	> Sleep until Fall 24, exit house and skip the second Goddess Dress cutscene
 
FALL
- Mondays are Fall 25, Winter 2, and Winter 9 are Mondays, so don't try to go to the cafe to finish the ending on those days
- Check cow and chicken for golden egg/milk every day as long as it's not cloudy
- Once you have obtained both, head to cafe on a non-Monday, give her both, then enter cafe at noon; this will trigger a failed cake cutscene, so exit/re-enter once more to get the successful cake cutscene
- Head home, sleep a week, then exit to complete the ending (if animal death, skip cutscene and sleep once more to finish)

- Gift sprites on Thu (in their house on the farm). Intro+gift all. Forage three more gifts throughout the week, and gift again Thu Spring 11.
- Skip Tue/Thu for Gwen unless rainy. She is available in Carpenter's house regardless of rain on other days, from 6am.
- Forage 14 gifts for Gwen before CS3. Then forage the remaining 7 while waiting for her at the Goddess Pond.
- CS1 will happen on Fri Spring 12, other CS's occur at the AP values above.
- Wait inside the Goddess Pond until nightfall on the days of both CS3 and CS4.
- Sleep for a week after CS4 and exit house to complete the ending.

NOTES
- Joe needs 100AP total, Kurt 160AP. This totals 11 interactions for Joe, 16 for Kurt
- Gift Joe berries, med herbs, or medium fish; gift Kurt berries, med herbs, flowers, or walnuts. Don't use (green) herbs as gifts, as you need to collect them for the end of the run
- When you reach 30AP with Kurt and enter the Carpenter's area, you will trigger AS CS1, so be prepared to skip it
- Kurt receives 9AP from providing him the herbs, so get him to just 151AP with gifting/talking
- If you dig up any minerals during the initial till, you can either sell them immediately to buy the corn (skip part-time work), or save them to make up for crop loss. They are: Blue Rock (90G), Copper Ore (40G), Iron Ore (60G), Limestone (40G), Rare Metal (180G)
- Follow the chart below for strats in event of rainy season crop loss:
- Especially if you lose crops, make sure you use the 4-fish cutscene to get medium fish to sell. They are also easier to tell apart from garbage than small fish.

- Water everyday. Harvests will be Spring 12, 16, 20, 24, and 28. If you lost no crops in rainy season, start watering only 6 of the 8 corn after the 4th harvest and harvest only those 6.
- Go see Joe and Kurt at the Carpenter's area everyday except Tue/Thu. Intro+gift both. Sleep any rainy day.
- Don't pocket gifts; rather pickup+gift both Joe and Kurt.
- Start collecting (green) herbs whenever you see them. Need 10 total.
- Once Joe is at least 92AP, on a Tue or Thu go to the Lake and obtain the old rod. Gift+talk Joe, catch 4 fish, then exit and re-enter the area to trigger the Silver Fish story. Exit and re-enter one more time to trigger the Super Rod cutscene.
- Depending on Spring mild rain, you may not have the fishing rod by the time of your last harvest, but that's okay.
- Once you have completed your last harvest and have the fishing rod, on a Monday or Friday:
    > Sell at Ronald's (Villa if selling fish to account for crop loss)
    > Buy Super Rod at Louis's
    > Head to the Lake. Catch 6 large fish.
    > Gather extra herbs if necessary (can check Goddess pond, but it's slow to skip the cutscene)
    > At sundown, exit and re-enter the Lake area to trigger CS4
    > If you didn't get all 6 large fish, catch the remainder after CS4, then head home and sleep
- On the next Tuesday or Thursday, go to the Carpenter's area to trigger CS5.
- Continue gifting Kurt. After CS7 triggers, give him the 10 herbs at the Carpenter's area on the next non-Tue/Thu.
- At least 3 days after CS7, if Kurt is at 160AP, CS8 will trigger.
- Sleep until the next full moon (14/15/29/30), triggering CS8 on that day. Head to the Lake, wait for nightfall, then catch the Silver Fish.
- Head home, sleep 7 times, then exit the house to complete the ending.

- On the next gift day, gift Gina as usual, then forage at the Carpenter's, Lake, and Goddess Pond. Skip the initial Goddess Pond cutscene, then re-enter to trigger CS4.
- Continue watering, harvesting, and gifting on Wed/Sat. Last harvest is Tue Summer 14.
- Summer 14
    > Sell corn at Ronald's
    > Head to the Villa to gift Gina
    > Buy the Silk from Louis
    > Head to the Goddess Pond to trigger CS5
- One week later, as long as Gina is at or above 100AP, CS6 will trigger.
- On the next Monday
    > Forage at the Carpenter's/Lake
    > Head to the Villa, gifting Gina outside, and waiting for noon to enter the building. You will trigger CS7 upon entering, and CS8 will trigger automatically after that. Gina gets +5 then +2.
- Continue gifting Gina until 200AP. At least one week after CS8, if Gina is at 200+AP, CS9 will trigger (Gina gets +5).

SPRING

- On Spring 2, forage and head to Brownie Farm. Intro THEN gift Bob.
- Gift/talk Bob everyday (except Thursday) until 11 interactions (including intro). Starting on the 4th gift day, do part-time work, talking/brushing all 5 horses. Reset if more than 2 rainy non-Thursdays before the 17th.
- Forage as necessary in the mornings. On one non-foraging day, cut 3 squares of grass.
- After at least 3 part-time work days, buy animal medicines.
- On the 11th gift/8th part-time work, only talk to the first horse (the one you first interacted with on the first part-time work). Afterwards, sleep until Spring 21, upon which you will receive the horse.
- Bring the horse outside then sleep until Summer 24.
 
SUMMER/FALL
- Trigger the 1-heart cutscene on the 24th.
- Trigger the 2-heart cutscene on the 25th. Bring the horse inside the barn and feed it.
- Bob will challenge you to a race on the 26th. Defeat him and Gwen.
- After the race, bring the horse back outside.
- Sleep until Fall 3, coming outside for Bob's reminder. Sleep regardless of rain.
- Sleep until Fall 10. If you got rain on Fall 1 or Fall 2, heal the horse with the animal medicine on Fall 8 or Fall 9 respectively. Come out for Bob to take your horse.
- Sleep one more time then exit house to finish the ending.

Not meant to be exhaustive, but to serve as a preliminary documentation of affection boosts related to several NPC interactions, such as introduction, conversation, and basic gifts (early forageables only for now). I may have neglected some locations (especially for the Sprites), but almost all should be covered.
 
NOTES
- Each character gains a set amount of affection points (AP) for the first interaction, both with and without a gift. Not every character gets additional AP for a gift intro.
- The introductory gift can be any item at all--it does not have to be a liked gift.
- There is no conversation boost available on the day of introduction.
- If you introduce yourself with a gift that the character would accept, they will take the item, and you cannot gift them again that day. If you do so with a gift the character would reject (weed, moondrop in some cases, etc.), you are still granted the "gift intro" value AND can also gift them normally.
- Conversation boost varies by location. If a character is in transit between locations ("Walking"), the AP boost is +2 (except Ronald, who gets +4). The boosts for their other locations varies.

- Katie starts walking toward the door to the cafe at 10am, so the door will be unlocked 50s after that. This is roughly 44s after the door closes behind her (depending on how far away she is when she starts walking).
- If going for the fastest time, reset if more than two rainy non-Mondays. Otherwise, you may save your 10th interaction for Spring 30.
- You must make sure not to gift Katie outside on the day of the 4th interaction. This is because after the cutscene in which you give Katie the recipe, she receives +7 for every Golden Egg/Milk instead of +6, and this gift route gets her to exactly 120 (required for book cutscene) by exploiting this fact.

SPRING
- Spring 2: At the lake, weed intro Katie, then gift her a Golden Egg.
- Spring 3: Gift intro Gina with a Golden Egg outside Ronald's with Golden Egg, then gift/talk Katie at the Lake.
- Gift/talk Katie everyday except Monday, skipping any rainy day. After the third interaction, wait outside the cafe until noon, then enter to trigger the first custcene.
- Get the recipe from the bookcase upon returning home that night.
- The next time you would gift Katie, don't gift her outside; rather, wait until noon to enter the cafe and trigger the recipe cutscene, then gift/talk Katie inside the cafe.
- If you got 0 rainy non-Mondays up to the 12th, sleep twice so that your 10th gift is Spring 14. Sleep once if 1 rainy non-Monday. If 2, your 10th interaction will naturally land on Spring 14.
- On the day of your 10th interaction with Katie, go to the Villa after gifting her to trigger the book cutscene, then head back to the cafe to give Katie the book at noon. You will first trigger a failed cake cutscene, then enter and exit again for the book gifting cutscene. Then, wait at the Goddess Pond until she appears for the Moondrop Dew cutscene (9pm).

"Wed/Sat Strats"

Brief Summary:
We want to befriend Luis, the Tool Shop owner.
For this run, we will need to collect roughly 16 gifts and visit him 16 times for the run to work.
After the 2rd gift, on a Saturday, wait for him near the lake and enter 18 seconds after he enters the lake area.  Do this again after 10 gifts.  Then, one a Saturday, wait for him at the lake again (being sure to wait 18 seconds after he enters the lake, and do this twice, skipping two cutscenes. When he is ready, he will visit you farm and teach you to play the flute. After the flute minigame, sleep 6 times, then go to the lake.


Why this strat?
This strat has us only visiting Luis on Saturdays and Wednesdays.  This is because Saturdays and Wednesdays gift 5 affection points (from my count this rounding method works fine for this run). The other days, he only adds 4 points. The other useful aspect is that on Wednesdays, he is in the forest, which is closer to the farm and doesn't require you to wait in front of his shop until 10am.  On saturdays, he is in front of the grocer, which is closer than the shop and once again requires no waiting.

Important:
The first day gifting, be sure to have the gift in your hand when you first talk to him. It allows for 7 affection to be gained instead of the usual 5.

When gifting, be sure to let the NPC stop moving before talking to them.  That goes for the player too.  If you're in a running/walking animation while gifting, it can lower the affection points gained.


Split 1: Luis's Gift
The game starts on a Tuesday.  We don't like Tuesdays.  So sleep the first day.

If it isn't raining, go to the forest and collect the berries and herbs that are spawned near the beginning of the area. Then, talk to Luis with a gift in your hand.  Then, talk to him without a gift.

Next, sleep until Saturday.  On Saturday, go to the back of the grocer. Talk to him, gift him. Good to go.

Proceed to the forest.  Try to gather everything gift worthy (berries, herbs, NOT FLOWERS)

Do this for the lake area and the goddess spring area. Then wait in front of the carpenter's shop until Luis comes through (it can feel like forever).

Once Luis exits the map into the Lake map, wait 18 seconds before entering the lake map. The cutscene will trigger. (10-12 affection points)

I personally split once the cutscene skip ends and the music starts again.

Split 2: Birdfeed/Lyla
Go home and sleep until the next gift day (usually Wednesday, but the rain can mess it up)
Continue to gift Luis either in the forest or the Grocer until you've gifted him 10 times. Remembering, if it rains on a gift day, just sleep until the next one. It's important to keep track in your head or on paper.

FUN FACT: The First day of Fall is Luis's Birthday! It will award extra points (not sure how many) if you find yourself in the game that long.

After 10 gifts, on a Saturday, go and wait in front of the Carpenter's Shop again.  Wait for Luis to go to the Lake. Wait 18 seconds after he leaves the map to enter the Lake map.  Skip both cutscenes. You have to leave and re-enter the Lake map to get both.

I split when the second cutscene ends and the music starts again.

Split 3: Playing the Blues
Now, we need to give Luis 4 more gifts.
Continue our pattern up until this point.
This time, however, when he has enough points, he will come to your house. When he does, he will take you to the lake and play music with you on his/your flute.

The minigame isn't too hard. Might need some practice if you aren't used to musical games, I recommend using an emulator and make a save state before the minigame and reload it a few times to practice. I'll make a video explaining that process and add a link later.

Once the minigame is over, if successful, very cheerful music with begin to play. Skip the cutscene, and split.

Split 4: Homeland Saved
Sleep 6 times.
On the 7th day, go to the Lake map.
The end-game cutscene will trigger.
I split when the fade-to-black happens.

Split 5: End Credits
Due to rules on Speedruns.com and the Harvest Moon Speedrunning community, to keep all runs inline with the "All Stories" category, the times for runs must include to after credits cutscene. Because of this, you'll get to sit and wait for the credits to go by before seeing a final cutscene. It's cute. Once that cutscene fades to black, you can split and the run is over.


TLDR:
S1: 2 gifts. wed/sat.   sat: gather. wait for luis. 18 seconds. lake cutscene.
s2: 10 gifts. wed/sat.  sat: gather (if needed). wait for luis. 18 seconds. lake cutscene. exit then re-enter. lake cutscene.
s3: 4 gifts. wed/sat. Luis comes to me. Minigame.
s4: sleep 6 days. day 7: lake.
s5: watch credits and cutscene.

It Not Gonna be 100% Every Time In The Run but It Reduce Percent of Rain RNG Around 50% - 70%
If U dont sure that next day gonna be rain again like Yesterday did....U need to not Press Sleep too Fast(Delay Press)

This Game....I feel like it still Had difficulty adjustment In Rain RNG Even Silver Fish when u speedrun too good
Silver Fish Gonna be stronger and Troll u around harder to catch it or appear for u.

sometime u do something mistake in everything that can reduce rain percent too (throw Item around lol)
 
U can run this game too fast but too risky to run so good (Confuse)
