Am I the only one who is bothered by anyone being able to view a person's pending/rejected runs? I feel like those runs should be only accessible to the runner themselves, and shouldn't be available to anyone on the website to view. Not that it's necessarily the "end of the world" but it can feel a bit awkward knowing that your rejected runs are now open to being viewed by basically anyone on the site, especially since those runs were always hidden from the public for years. Imo only officially verified runs should be accessible to all users on the website. Just something I wanted to throw out there in the open!
Pending and rejected runs were always accessible via the API. And were never hidden.
If you've cheated, then it's useful for other game moderators to know this. To know if you have a history of cheating.
And if other users weren't able to view them, then the game moderators are able to anyway.
I never knew they could always be accessed through the API, I always thought they were hidden! I don't even remember the last time I've had a submission get rejected, just something I wanted to ask about. Also I never thought about viewing rejected runs from a moderator's standpoint, to help look at someone's history. Very good point!
