I must have missed where the issue turned from stealing runs to "game farming" the former being very concerning for a speedrun website.
Jaypin isn't even really the issue anymore. It's SRC and their decision to unban cheaters.

There's plenty of Billy and Todd fake accounts, but if the real person created an account and it was known that it was them, they should be banned from submitting runs, yes.

If we want to have a general discussion about how cheating should be handled and/or advocate for clearer & stronger site rules regarding it, we should probably start a new thread that isn't focused on a specific individual.
Personally, I'd be in favor of something along the lines of the smb1 policy, with moderators of every game that a person banned for cheating has run receiving a message to check into their past runs. And boards that want to enforce stricter punishments for cheating would be able to do so, too.
