I submitted a game that is just under 4 minutes long for a WR run a game that is new on steam and that already has speedruns on youtube with thousands of views and it got rejected for being "too short"?
Some of the most popular games on this website are short, getting over it is only a minute long. Do all submitted games have to be hours long now? I don't understand this change.
Look at my comment here, should explain it: https://www.speedrun.com/speedrunning/thread/kxs4a/1#7ytlr
You don't have to submit only "hours long" speedruns. If the base game itself takes up to 5 minutes to complete causally, then it will be probably rejected for being short. That rule was recently added some months ago.
Here is the site's feedback form if you think the rule is asinine:

Please be polite in your feedback.
A casual playthrough of the game submitted takes over 5 hours on average, I see no reason at all for it to have been rejected.
Well, then tell the site staff, they're human and can make mistakes.
"Getting over it is only a minute long" Sure wasn't when it was submitted. It's only that short because the strats are bat-shit insane.
Game requests also have a space where you can provide additional information about the game you are requesting. Please use this.
"Getting over it is only a minute long"
Cries in 15 hours of playing the game and still not making it past the freaking orange part.
Good stuff, hope the game gets traction and a good community behind it :)
