I don't remember the longest amount of time I've spent playing, but I think it's somewhere under 10 hours.
@Bluestonex64 I think I did it around when I was 14, so I had like infinite energy. I did that before ingesting caffeine in any form (soda, coffee, etc.). Back then I would game for extremely long periods of time since school was beyond easy, so I'd adjusted to not really feeling the affects of longer sessions with little sleep until the day after / when I was in school. That being said, the day after (staying up for around 42 hours w/ 38 being that game) I straight up slept for over 24 hours, which I only know because my parents were considering calling emergency services thinking I was in a coma.
@Sizzyl I gave up on a cookie clicker run after 2 hours 41 mins today and I freaking wasted. I literally scrolled my mouse straight for almost 3 hours and at the end I'm still kinda sad I didn't finish the run but I was already so behind were I was supposed to be that I didn't even bothered
I have a friend who is serious about a game called SCUM and he played for about 12 to 16 hrs a day. He enjoyed the farming items for quests and crafting weapons to survive in the game.

Spoiler Alert: Still trying. Edit: Some typos.
Back in 2020, when Animal Crossing: New Horizons was new and really popular, I spent 10-14 hours (don't remember the exact amount but it was around that timeframe) trying to catch one fish before the season changed, meaning I'd have to wait about 9 to 10 months to try again. During that time, my brother had both gone to bed and woken up to me still playing on his switch (didn't have my own one at the time) trying to catch a single, stupid fish. It was... not a good idea. Nor fun. I hadn't eaten basically at all during that time and barely ate anything the day before, making me feel absolutely AWFUL. I had become so exhausted that I could barely walk back to my room after my brother made me stop for my own well-being. ...Yea 👍
