I really want to play Mario Kart Wii online again but Nintendo close the servers...

Did someone know a hack for Mario Kart Wii to play online with the Wii U ?

I'm not too familiar with it, but I know Wiimmfi (am I spelling that correctly) exists, at least for the original Wii. But I think that requires homebrew, and I'm not sure if options exist for the Wii U.
