If I accidentally died and respawn in my spawn point in Minecraft, can I still submit my speedrun?

For example, in the Hielke map Parkour Pyramid if I accidentally fall in lava or in high place and it respawn me at spawn point. I don't sure if the speedrun need to stop or continue speedrunning if I died.

It still surprises me how many people miss that, could be worth implementing a pop-up for first time forum users but I hugely doubt anything will be changed
