Hello!
Southeast Pennsylvanian goofball here. I hope to become a respected speedrunner and moderator for communities big and small. Metroidvanias and platformer titles are a lot of fun for me
Which of these games listed below is a good start for me? In terms of learning and understanding being a streamlined process where I can see gradual improvement in a shorter amount of time? I play everything on emulation & on Steam.
Can't wait to join some Discord communities and get a chance to replay some of my favorite games in a new way.
-Banjo-Kazooie -The Ori series -Rayman 2 -Hollow Knight -The Yoshi series (Yoshi's Story, Yoshi's Island) -Star Fox 64 -Mario Sunshine & 64 -Pokemon Snap (N64) -Paper Mario (TTYD)
Start with a game that you know and have played through. You will know a lot of strats just through normally playing the game.
Have a look at some more forgotten platformers as well such as Croc, Bubsy 3D and Heart of Darkness (1 of those 3 is a nightmare though)
