Paradise IL/Any% Tutorial

The Basics

- Language settings do not matter at this point in time, play in whatever language you prefer.
- The difference in platform speeds is negligible so play on whatever version you own (preferably PC).
- The fastest way to skip through text is by holding down the 'A' button or the equivalent on your platform (X on PlayStation). 
- Normal rolling is the fastest method of normal movement. Slamming and charging are faster but only when the target is in the direction you wish to move.
- Many cutscenes can be skipped before they even begin by mashing the cutscene skip button during loading screens.
- When running ILs any amount of inspiration is allowed so it is recommended to have maximum size, charge and armor upgrades.
- The timing for all ILs starts upon pressing the start button after the comic screen loading has completed.
- The timing for all ILs stops upon losing control of Blob on that level. For almost all of the levels it is on the frame you select the 'Yes' option to leave when talking to pinky. However, there are a few exceptions, these are: 
	Paradise Island - the frame you hit the transform engine in the canon
	Rocket Range - the frame you hit the transform engine in the rocket
	Hypno Ray - the frame you destroy the final mini Comrade Black

Paradise Island

- Mash A to skip through the Pinky and Blob introductions
- Only move the camera a bit then begin to mash camera center button and hold up
Try and grab the colour atom in the mission blob as you talk (remember to HOLD A) to Pinky then collect them in this order: https://imgur.com/a/g10GMx2 
- Jump up the 2 layers and collect the final atom.
- Skip the transform engine cutscene and hold ZL and A (or platform equivalent)
- Mash the skip cutscene button and hold up, you will start moving before the camera catches up
- Jump up to here without losing speed (don't hit into the wall or stop to do it) https://imgur.com/a/FmZ3lwJ (You can always just run around)
- Beeline for the next mission and jump just before you reach the water so that you get the text mid-air: https://imgur.com/a/J2xRLC2 This saves a few seconds as after Pinky 'pause text' blob will stop moving on the ground for 2 seconds. By staying in the air we conserve our speed.
- Activate the mission and skip the text & cutscene
- Go to the purple pool and try and hit A (jump equivalent) the instant you become purple. If done successfully you will skip the 'how to fill with paint tutorial'
- Other outcomes could be failing it entirely or having the tutorial overlay but not being in the pool. These are both solved by clicking RT (colour fill equivalent)
- Paint the building closest to the mission start first then work your way over
- Hit the transform engine, skip the cutscene.
- Jump on to the statue and climb it. Whilst climbing never stop moving up the statue as you will fall off. Stay to the right of the line seen here https://imgur.com/9T8SjzB
- Line yourself up on the top of the statue to jump to the wooden balcony on the right
- Run up and jump off of the right tip of the statue https://imgur.com/wLk3BbA
- Land up here: https://imgur.com/vYOYZrc Keep holding towards the fence until blob goes over it or you will fall.
- Jump over the row of buildings and fill up on red paint then paint these buildings: https://imgur.com/Ekl3Mmf
- Jump up to the second layer and paint the furthest building https://imgur.com/g2KgB1m Note: it does not matter if you paint both buidlings like seen in the image
- Jump down into the blue pool and paint the three buildings by jumping into the corner where they meet: https://imgur.com/QtSRBt5
- Activate the mission, skip the text and then through the compass tutorial
- Jump back up to the second level off of this building: https://imgur.com/7aHx9NJ
- Activate the next mission then grab the style and paint the closest building to the style blue (avoid painting the other taller building blue) to complete the mission
- Jump in the red pool then slam the transform engine, skipping through cutscenes as usual
- Jump off of the bridge at about the point blob is on the image and hold Z and mash A (hold target and mash jump equivalent) to slam the green circled graydian https://imgur.com/k7PqVfv AVOID HITTING THE RED ONE AS THIS WILL TRIGGER A CUTSCENE 
- Get all the other graydians (being careful to avoid the mission when getting the ones close to the mission
- Paint these buildings red: https://imgur.com/YdggzJr then grab the green and paint these buildings green: https://imgur.com/ejt6ydn
- Line up so the last graydian is in between you and the mission and the mission is directly behind the graydian: https://imgur.com/2TBoFNS (you need a longer run-up than shown in the image)
- Hold up so that you colour the graydian then activate the mission, this will leave Pinky with 1 textbox and skip a cutscene
- Jump over the blank building and get purple from the pool shown here: https://imgur.com/1qVysp7
- Paint the entirety of the last block of buildings that you jumped over earlier purple
- Slam the graydians here: https://imgur.com/mSvGxjM then grab the red paint
- Slam the graydians here: https://imgur.com/7JxCZCU then activate the mission skipping cutscenes and text as per usual
- Slam the graydians right infront of you, then the ones behind the green building
- Activate the next mission, skipping cutscenes and text then grab the inspiration
- Drop down here and paint the 2 trees

- After grabbing the last tree and skipping the cutscene make sure the camera is aiming, to a reasonable extent, towards the building with the transport engine on. 
- Jump, then hold ZL (target equivalent) and mash A (jump equivalent) to slam the transform engine

- Continue into the cave, complete the paint filling tutorial and the charge tutorial
- After destroying the first wall, turn around and exit the cave the way you came in
