I am planning to start a RECVX run soon but i i have a couple questions regarding the game.

About character speed, does Claire runs faster with a Knife equipped instead of a Bowgun for example?

About some items, can i finish the game without grabbing the knife in Rodrigo's desk? And what about the Lighter, can I leave it in the Security box?

What I mean is... will I be able to finish the game leaving behind both of these items?

Claire does run faster with the knife equipped yes.

You need the knife for first Bandersnatch fight and after that there is no reason to take it out of your inventory, it will just lose time. You also need to keep the lighter for bats.
