[JAVA] Lucky Islands Guide (All Categories)

Hello y'all, thought it would be a good idea to make guide for Java, since there are no Java guides here yet.


1. Any%

For this run, you have to pick a map that allows you to get to other islands extremely fast, so pick a map that is small and requires little to no blocks to get from island to island.
Pond is probably the best map for this, because you'll only need a maximum of 10 blocks per game if it's on WR pace.
Other good maps would be Underwater, Savanna and maybe Vortex.

For kits: pick the Warrior kit, as the Diamond kit will take too much time with you having to craft your gear first.

The run itself is pretty simple: kills as many players as possible, as quick as possible, and hope others do the same as well. At this point the WR is so low that you NEED other people to rush others if you want to have a chance to lower the time at all.

tl;dr: play on Pond with the Warrior kit and pray you get lucky.


2. Perfect%

There are no runs in this category yet, but I have been trying to get it and have come very close on multiple occasions (8 kills, 9 kills, even 10 kills, etc.)

For this run you must pick a map that's still relatively easy to traverse, but is not considered a 'rush map', like the maps in Any%. 
The focus is not on being fast here: the focus is on the fact that you will have to somehow kill every person in the game. So pick a map that  usually sees people preparing for a while (AKA maps with big spawning islands and many lucky blocks to open), so you won't see a kill message within the first minute (aside from yourself, of course).
Maps that are good for this run would be Blossom, Crossroads, Luck, maybe even Nest and Ruins.

For the kit, I would suggest either the Warrior kit (for speed), of the Diamond kit (less speedy, but better gear).

Then, all you have to do is grind, grind and grind. People will fall in the void, they will die to stupid things like knights of witches, or they will be killed by other players. You have to be extraordinarely lucky to be in a lobby with people that are all too smart to die from lucky block drops, but are too slow to actively kill other players. 

All I can say for this one is good luck. You'll need it.


3. 5 Kills

Very similar to Any%, but instead of winning the game you have to get 5 kills.

Same maps and kits as for Any% apply here, in fact I got my record for 5 Kills while trying to get an Any% WR.

A few differences to Any% are that you have to hope that your 5 victims are NOT dead yet when you arrive at their island, since you'll need that kill credit.

Not much to say here really, just apply the same strategies as for Any%, just focus on the kills this time rather than being speedy and hoping others are also killing opponents. 


4. No Kills

Tied with Perfect% for being the most annoying category, but way less difficult to accomplish.

For this category, pick, once again, maps where islands are close and many people rush others, just like Any% and 5 Kills, but do not get the Warrior kit, as it will be useless (no killing and all that). As explained down below, the Wizard kit is probably your best bet here.

There are two ways you can play this category:
1. AFK on your island and hope everyone kills each other or walks off the map, or
2. Actively try to kill people, without getting kill credit.

The first method is boring, and probably worse since if you try, you can still eliminate people from the game.
Ways of doing this can include:
-Block trapping
-Spleefing (with gold pickaxe or slime blocks, if you play on Pond)
-Burning them (With the Dragon Breath Wand, maybe mixed with poison potions)
-Exploding them with Trapped Chests (you can craft these too, it's a funny way to try and kill people, even in normal games)
-Withering them with the Splash Potion Wand
-And many more that I can't think of off the top of my head

In the end tho, you have to hope that everyone doesn't stay on their island, and either gets killed by others, walks off the map, or, if neccesary, gets killed by you with any of the methods listed above.


Some final general tips here:
-Record every run you do, you'll never know when you suddenly get that golden run,
-In some scenarios, both straight and diagonal speedbridging can come in ahndy (especially Perfect% runs), so practise them well,
-Obviously read the rules before you submit, no seasonal maps and all that lol
-And finally, probably get an Iron rank, because a Map Selector makes your life so much easier,


I know this guide is pretty basic and doesn't go into much detail, but I think this outlines the basic idea for each category well enough.

Blockwars CTF Any%/Perfect% No Party Strategy

Map: Mushroom

Before the match starts, vote for a speed boost, and then go into your crafting menu. As the match starts, craft all your logs into planks, and make one crafting table. You'll then place that crafting table wherever you want, but I usually place it near the flag. After that, you craft 30 wooden slabs and move on towards the walls, in front of your flag, bridging with terracotta when you get to an incline to the middle wall (preferably on the right side of the flag facing towards the wall). Then, you take out your slabs and make those your headhitters all the way back to your flag, if there are defenses, you'll definitely have time to mine where you need to and continue.  You then build two terracotta blocks up to get on top of your headhitters, mining the blocks back up. As soon as you get back to the wall on the headhitters, you place another slab on the slab closest to the wall, allowing you to then jumpbridge to the enemy base. If there's no defenses, try to place your remaining slabs down and you can also use 2-3 oak planks based on where you decided to bridge. After getting the first flag you go to a incline under your headhitters, and bridge over back to your original terracotta bridge, but with your planks this time. After that use the headhitters to go back and forth for the other 2 flag captures for a perfect% run, or if you luckily get someone who gets the second flag and knows how headhitters work, you get the third flag and capture for an any% run.

bridges 5 kills

when you are doing 5 kills here is some things you want to do first you want to go for knocking players of the map because of you are doing pvp on ground it will take more time to kill them second if you don't get the time you want just do /hub because then you can get in your next game quicker 3rd just rush to the other side so you can kill them quicker because your at their spawn so you can when they spawn you can knock them of quicker and so you just wait at the bridge waiting for them to come so you can kill them here are some things not to do don't try to bridge up in the sky to rush just go on the bridge in the middle second don't think you will get the wr in your first try it takes alot of time to get a wr third don't go up to the  scoreing place to get the kill on the person there it takes up time in the run that is my guide how to speedrun bridges 5 kills a good maps to play on are factory and towers so when pick with map try to get those and all maps have same bridge runing time it is a very luck based gamemode so you prob wont get wr for a long time

Capture the flag Bedrock WR strategy (UPDATE 25th August 2020)

Hey here is a guide you can use to speedrun Capture the flag bedrock edition.

For anyone interested in getting the wr for the fastest game of blockwars I have a strat for you guys to use.
Here is my strat for Blockwars Any% Party:
1. Select the map named "Games" as it is slightly shorter than all other maps
2.  1 person will protect the flag apart from leaving a nice gap for people to get through to put the flag where it should go
3. Someone will make a speedbridge through the middle at whatever location they feel and speedbridge to the other side making a nice straight path to the flag
4. 1 person puts a line of blocks that are 2 blocks above to be able to headbang when running to and from the enemy base, helps speed up movement
5. 2 people will go and capture the first flag, 1 will capture the other will protect enemy flag, the flag bearer runs away back to base while the other person stays behind.
6. 1 person will then join the person waiting to capture the new flag and protect them and be ready to get the 3rd flag
7. Once back at the base the person waiting behind will instantly capture the flag and do the same thing.
8. While this goes on the player protecting the spawn is doing everything the can to annoy and trap the spawn area
9. The process will repeat until all 3 flags a captured

UPDATE TO GUIDE: Since the speed powerup has been added you can use that to save about 3 seconds maximum, it doesn't save much more than that however due to headhitters with slowness being about the same speed as headhitters at normal speed.

For No party you can use the same headhitter startegies to speeduptimes and possibly squeeze out a couple of seconds but it is very luck based, make use of build time for headhitters :)

Cubecraft Bridge CTF Guide for Bedrock (Party)

Any map like Towers
Need at least 2 jump bridgers
It's best to have a full stack (no random people on your team).
First, 1 jump bridger bridges to the level z coordinate to goal on the middle of the map, while the other make a head hitter on top. This is for the whole team to get to the other side quickly and easily. Get lucky and the enemy team doesn't hit any of your teammates into the void while running across. Also, the enemy team shouldn't place blocks over their goal so it prevents you from jumping in. Next, the whole team runs across to goal over and over untill.........
World Record!

*P.S. Don't collect power-ups it takes too long.

Eggwars Duos (All Categories)

Hey there, this is a guide on how to speedrun eggwars duos and get the fastest time you possibly can.

1. Make sure you are in a party with a friend who can also speedbridge, if you or your friend do not know how to speedbridge I have made a speedbridging tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LA3_Os96gk&t

2. When you start you will make sure to use the map "Modern" as that is the fastest map to use in the game, make sure only 1 of the enemy islands are diagonal to you, if you have 2 enemy islands diagonal to you then the strategy will be slightly different.

3. Once you have this set up you will pick the Builder kit to get 15 additional blocks each for a total of 30 free blocks. You will start the game by 1 teammate giving the other teammate between 10-13 blocks.

4. Once this is done you will have the perfect amount of blocks to rush the base to the side of you, it is advised that you pick up only 1 piece of iron from your starting generator to buy a pickaxe, if you are less skilled you can also buy armour and a sword but that will cost you additional time. If you have chosen a spawn that has 2 diagonal islands to you then you will need to buy an additional 15 blocks to share between you and your teammate to make it.

5. Afterwards you will be ready to rush and your teammate will then get a minimum of 8 iron from the generator to buy 24 blocks from the shop and rush to the small island diagonal to you, make sure to be conservative of your blocks to ensure you can make it to the enemy base, it is also recommended to get an extra piece of iron to buy a pickaxe, if you are less skilled you can also buy armour and a sword but that will cost you additional time. If you are less confident with your block conservation you can svae up another 2 iron to buy 2 sets of 15 blocks to use to get to the enemy base, this will not lose you alot of time.

6. Once this is done the person who rushes first will aim to break 3 eggs while the player who rushed last will aim to break 2 eggs, once at the next base you should buy blocks to use to get to the next base. You can also buy food if you are slower however if you are aiming for a high placing time you will win the game before you run out of hunger.

Overall with this strategy you can average about 2 minutes every game, with additional luck you can take the time down in the low 1 minute times or even sub 1 minute if you are really lucky enough. Good Luck

Eggwars duos season 1 (updated 2023)

Hey there, this is a guide on how to speedrun eggwars duos and get the fastest time you possibly can.

So before knowing the strategies its important to note a few things.

1. Make sure you and your duo know how to speedbridge, here's a tutorial made by the spaghetti guy in case you dont know how to speedbridge:

-63 Blocks
-Leather armor bundle
-wooden sword (optional)
-stone pickaxe

3. Make sure to play on the map "Cyber City" as it is the fastest map in eggwars duos.
4. Talk to your teammate on who will rush side (the teams to the side) or mid/front (the teams across mid), for the sake of the guide I will call the player that goes side "siderusher" and the player that goes across mid "midrusher".

Now, when you queue a game you will usually be in a corner team (a team that is NOT in the middle of two other teams), but you might occasionally spawn in a middle team (A team in between two teams), Im gonna go over the corner team strategy first as it is the most common spawn, and then I will go over the middle team spawn afterwards.

**Normal strat (corner island)**

*Before game starts*

1. First you're gonna vote for overpowered items, as it has the cheaper items.

2. Then the siderusher is gonna pick miner kit and the midrusher is gonna pick builder kit.

*First rushes*

3. Right after the game starts, the midrusher is gonna get to the team right across mid (red team if youre cyan) by rushing mid instantly with the 15 blocks of the builder kit, and then eliminating the team (rushing).

At the same time, the side rusher will get 26 iron from the iron generator closest to the shop and buy 63 blocks and a wooden sword (this is called 26 iron rushing) and rush both side teams (yellow and pink teams if youre cyan) with only these items.

The siderusher can alternatively get 25 iron and buy 63 blocks and the leather armor bundle (25 iron rushing), get 30 iron and buy 63 blocks, a wooden sword, and the leather armor bundle (30 iron rushing), or only get 21 iron from the generator and buy 63 blocks (21 iron rushing), I personally recommend 26 iron rushing as it gets faster kills, but its up to you if you are willing to risk consistency for speed or viceversa.

If both speedrunners have the same skill and everything goes well then the siderusher's second rush (pink team if you're cyan) and the midrusher's first rush (red team if you're cyan) should finish at about the same time.

*Last rushes*

4. By the time step 3 is done, there should only be 2 teams left to finish, (green and orange teams if you're cyan).

After finishing their first rush, the midrusher will get 31 iron from the enemy iron generators and buy a wooden sword, 63 blocks, the leather armor bundle, and a stone pickaxe, and then rush both of the remaining teams with only these items.

Alternatively the mid rusher can 27 iron rush (26 iron rush but with an iron added for a stone pickaxe), Although this will save you a fraction of a second, I only recommend doing this if you are really good at comboing, as the other players will probably have armor at this point of the game.

At the same time, after finishing their second rush, the siderusher will buy blocks to go across mid to get to the final team (green team if you're cyan).

Alternatively if the siderusher has 13-7 blocks remaining and good block conservation skills the siderusher can rush straight across mid without having to stop to buy blocks.

If both speedrunners have the same skill and everything goes well then they will both meet at the final team (green team if you're cyan) and eliminate the enemy players at the same time, resulting in the end of the game and therefore the speedrun.

*What to expect*

Your rushes might of the annoying class and slow down your run, don't worry as this happens to everyone.

Although if your rushes aren't annoying, then you should expect low minute times (0:55-1:20) although this varies in your skill, you might also have the right teams leave which can result in step 4 (or even parts of step 3) being completely skipped and therefore drastically improving your time.

**The other strat (middle team)**

This is an alternate strategy made for when you spawn on orange or yellow team, which just so happen to be the middle teams.

*Before game starts*

1. First you're gonna vote for overpowered items, as it has the cheaper items.

2. Then, both of you will pick builder kit as it is required for this strategy to work,

*First rushes*

3. One of the players will drop all the blocks from the builder kit to the other player, the player who gets the blocks will then have 30 blocks to rush instantly, for the sake of the guide, we will call the player who drops blocks "player 1", and the player who gets the blocks "player 2",

4. After that, player 2 will rush instantly to the team thats furthest away from the shop, and eliminate them (cyan team if you're yellow), while player 1 will 27 iron rush (63 blocks, wooden sword, stone pickaxe) to the team closest to the shop, and eliminate them (pink team if you're yellow).

These rushes should be finished at the same time.

*Last rushes*

5. By the time step 4 is done, only the 3 teams across mid should remain, (green, orange and red teams if you're yellow).

After this, player 1 will use their remaining blocks to get to the team across mid (green team if your yellow) and eliminate them, at the same time, player 2 will 31 iron rush (63 blocks, wooden sword, leather armor bundle, stone pickaxe) the team across mid (red team if you're yellow) and eliminate them.

6. Finally, player 2 will rush the last team (orange if you're yellow) with their remaining blocks and player 1 will buy blocks to rush the last team (orange if you're yellow), although if player 1 has more than 25 blocks remaining then they can rush the last team (yeah im not repeating it again lol) straight away, and finish the game and therefore the run.

*What to expect*

More or less about the same as the normal strat, except for the very small chance of all 3 teams across mid leaving the game, making the run end at step 4 with a possible sub 20.

**Hardcore strat**

This one is for the more experienced runners so I will now speak normally, the hardcore strat is a strategy designed to widen the chances of people leaving the game, which depending on your luck can result in a slightly better run or a world record. This strategy has evolved from "hardcore leave" to a series of conditions a speedrunner most follow that I will list here:

-Voting at hardcore at the same time
The creator of this strat votes at 9 seconds but I recommend voting at 8 seconds because cmon, thats only a second to react.

-Vote overpowered at the last second
This is to make people think they're about to play hardcore and leave the game.

-Having dark red and dark purple names
Dark red and preferably the purple and pink name from the vip levels, although dark purple works just fine.

-Have scary igns
Have your name start with z, its, or q, you can also replace some of the letters of your ign with numbers or a q, 4 letter igns or password igns as I like to call them can also be scary, although not everyone will buy money and switch their ign just to look scary, so I guess you just gotta get lucky with whatever you first chose as your ign lol.

-Be featured in a RelatedNoobs video

Eggwars duos season 2

Hey there, this is a guide on how to speedrun eggwars duos season 2 and get the fastest time you possibly can.

4. Talk to your teammate on who will rush side (the teams to the side) or mid/front (the teams across mid), for the sake of the guide I will call the player that goes side "siderusher" and the player that goes across mid "midrusher".

4. After you eliminate your first team, you will get 24 iron from the iron generators closest to you and buy 32 blocks and a wooden sword, you will then use these items to rush your next team (pink team if you're cyan).
5. After you finish eliminating your second team, you will check if you have 7-15 blocks remaining, if you do, rush across mid with those blocks to eliminate the team across mid (green team if you're cyan), you should be trying to not waste blocks, and if you dont have 7-15 remaining blocks, then get 10 iron and buy 20 blocks to rush across mid and eliminate the team across mid (green team if your cyan).

If you and your duo have the same speed, the speedrun should end at the fifth step, but if you're teammate has a lower level skill than you, repeat step 3 until the game is finished.

*If you are the midrusher*

3. Right after the game starts, you are gonna get 10 iron from the iron generator furthest to the shop and buy 20 blocks, which you will then use to rush across mid and eliminate your first team (red team if you're cyan).

4. After eliminating your first team (or your first rush as it is commonly called), you will get a minimum of 16 iron from the enemy iron generators and buy 32 blocks, then you will rush (get to and eliminate) your next team with these blocks (orange if you're cyan). Note that you can also buy armor, although this will take up extra time of your run.

5. After eliminating your second team (orange if you're cyan), you will repeat step 4, (getting 16 iron, buying 32 blocks, and rushing your next team).

If you and your duo have the same speed, the speedrun should end at the fifth step, but if you're teammate has a lower level skill than you, repeat step 3 to get to rush your fourth team, then repeat step 4 to rush your fifth team and finish the game.

**The other strat (middle team)**

This is an alternate strategy made for when you spawn on orange or yellow team, which just so happen to be the middle teams.

*Before game starts*

1. First you're gonna vote for normal items, as it has the cheaper items while also having leather armor.
2. Then the both of you are gonna pick miner kit.

*You both will do this*

3. Right after the game starts, get 16 iron from any iron gen (each person takes 1 gen) and buy 32 blocks, then you will rush (get to and eliminate) the teams to the side (pink or cyan if you're yellow) separately.
4. After this, you will get 10-24 iron and buy 20 blocks if you only picked up 10 iron, 32 blocks if you only picked up 16 iron, and 32 blocks and wooden sword if you picked up 24 iron.
5. You will then use these blocks (and maybe sword) to rush across mid and eliminate your next team (might be green or red if you're yellow).
6. And finally, you will get 16 iron, buy 32 blocks, and rush your final team (orange team if you're yellow) finishing the run.[

Eggwars duos season 2 advanced strat

This is for people who already speedrun, so I wont go over basic stuff like speedbridging, queuing cyber city, etc.

Note that this strat sacrifices consistency for speed, so most games will be failed speedruns.

**Vote overpowered**:

*If youre siderusher:*

0. Get miner kit

1. Get both iron gens (32 iron minimum) and buy 64 blocks.

2. Rush yellow, pink and green.

*If you are midrusher:*

0. Get builder kit

1. Rush red, try imitating this www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYANvciSo80&t=35s

2. Once red is done, get 32 iron, buy 64 blocks and rush both orange ang green

3. If you want, get 50 iron instead of 38 and buy blocks and stone pick, this can add a little bit of consistency if youre struggling.

Eggwars Solo (Bedrock)

First you need to make sure you got the right map, Golf. Just for this guide, Ill be calling the iron gen thats closer to the shop iron gen 1, and the other one iron gen 2

Any%.

As soon as you are released from your cage, grab one iron from the iron gen thats closer to the shop. Make sure to choose the builder kit. After grabbing the iron, bridge to the next island, get the egg, and buy a pickaxe from the shop. When you eliminate your first rush, just get more blocks and repeat the whole round. I usually like to get armor, sword and food on the 3rd island. Any% isnt really that skill based though. If you get lucky that the other teams destroy at least 3 or 4 eggs, you might be able to get a sub 3 :) or even a sub 2 if the other teams are also rushing. Using this strategy I average around 2:50 - 3:00 games.


5 kills

Basically do the exact same thing as Any%, but when you land on the other team, make sure you get at least 13 iron from iron gen 2. After you eliminate your first rush, buy 39 blocks from the shop, youll use those to bridge to the 2nd island and the 3rd. After killing the 3rd team, get at least 10 iron from whatever gen, buy blocks so you can bridge to the 4th and the 5th and final island. If you rush fast or are experienced, you dont need a sword or armor, just a stone pickaxe. Also if you are going for the WR, make sure you are one of these teams : Red, light blue, dark blue or green. This is because if you are one of those teams, you only have to diagonal bridge one time, which saves up a LOT of time. If you are not one of those teams, You will have to diagonal bridge 2 times which takes longer. Another thing to note is that the first time you try 5 kills, you may get times of 1:50, and think its impossible, but actually the more you play youll get better at it


Perfect%

This is really another luck based category,
You have to hope no one destroy eggs or leaves the game. Basically just get a sword, armor, 12 cooked beef, blocks and just eliminate the other teams the fastest you can.


No Kills

Welp cube nerfed the insta pickaxe, but before that happened, you just choose the Miner pick and yeah you know what to do.



Important things 
- Vote Overpowered
- Jump Bridging
- choose kit builder
- Map golf
- You can actually diagonal rush with 15 blocks if you do it carefully. Though this might take more time so 24 would probably be better.
- If you rush a team thats straight to you, you need only 10 blocks.

Other stupid things you cant control
- no hacker 
- no kid goes to mid
- In 5 kills no one gets armor
- In perfect no one leaves or destroys eggs.

Current WRs

Any% - 2:04
5 kills - 1:14
Perfect% - 3:28
No kills - 3:39

Guide to getting the WR on any% Skywars Solo

You have to start on these maps or its not gonna work. The best maps to use are Savanna, Trees, and Desert. Keep reloading if you dont get these maps. However Savanna is the best map.

After you got one of those maps select the builder kit  and just grab the top chest, (in Savanna you can grab both top chests) and then if you dont get a 6+ damage sword you can scrap that run.

After you got the 6+ damage sword get like 20 more blocks and some food. Then put the chaimail armor on and just rush everyone, if they have more armor than you (they will probably will) then just crit him out of knock him into the void.

No fight should take you longer than 10 seconds.

Lucky Islands Party Guide (Bedrock)

All strategies for Oasis map

5kills - 2 people go sword kit, 2 people go blocks kit.
The people who go sword kit will rush the island next to yours that doesn’t need any blocks to reach.
The people who go blocks kit will drop to the second ring and go to the opposite island that the sword kit players went to.
They need to get a weapon from lucky blocks.
Then you need to just kill players as fast as you can. Target players near edges/with no armor.

Perfect%/Any% - Almost the same as 5kills, but one of the players who went blocks kit will drop down to mid and grab the 4 lucky blocks at the center (and hopefully get a weapon) and then rush the island on the opposite side of the map.
There should be 2 people rushing the close island, 1 rushing the one that needs blocks, and 1 going across the map. And then you just have to kill as fast as possible.

Lucky Islands Solo 5 Kill Speedrun Guide (Bedrock)

One of the key things to getting a fast time is getting a good map. Any map that has the spawn islands close to each other works. The Vortex map is highly recommended. Choose the builder kit. 
Open one lucky block in hopes of finding a weapon. Once you have done so immediately rush and speed bridge to the person next to you. Try and use as little blocks as possible. Since you rushed early in the game, the chances of your opponent having a weapon are very low, so you should be able to kill them. Only loot the player if they had something important like a weapon or blocks. Open one more lucky block and continue to speed bridge to the person beside you. Kill them and continue the steps until you get 5 kills. If things go smoothly you should get a weapon eventually and in a lucky block you should get more blocks. Hopefully in a bit, you should get a good speed run!
Tips:
-Try your best to knock the player off the map to save more time. 
-Don't waste your time looting too much, the most important thing you need are blocks.

Skywars Solos 5 Kills Guide

Okay, so this is a pretty hard world record to get. For starters, you need to get at least an iron sword for the run to be semi decent. You COULD do it with a weaker sword or no weapon in general, but it will slow you down a bit. For the first few kills, I would recommend bonking everyone into the void. This way you can move on way faster to the next island, as you don't have to kill anyone by damage and the void is instantaneous. In the ideal run, you want Savannah, Sharpness 2 iron sword, non's who are on the edge who you can just hit off, at least about 30 blocks to be safe, and at least one kid who tries to rush you. So you want to run to four islands with one kid rushing towards YOU the opposite way you are rushing. (I rush clockwise, so you want a kid on about the 5th island running to the 4th island, weaken the kid, then you can just crit them out, or you can have a kid on the island BEFORE you who rushes you, which will mean that it is easier to get the kills and will save time). Since this is one of the quicker Mainpage World Records, you want to save every second, which is why I said to knock all the noobs into the void and crit the last kid. It is important to do this, as it can save about 1 second. It will take you a while to get a decent time, and don't be disheartened if you get slow times. This category does have a luck aspect in it, so you will need patience. Hopefully you can get upwards from 3rd place using this guide. And if you did, congrats! It is a pretty cool achievement. Survival Games Solos Any% | Update v2.1 |

Intro
------
This is a guide on Survival Games Any% for Solos. This guide will go into detail on how to get started and things you need to know about survival games. Please note that all the info for the strategy presented later in the guide is, in my OPINION, the best strategy for Survival Games. 

Notes for Starting
---------------------
To start speedrunning Survival Games you should know a few things...

- You don't need to know how to combo someone
	Although combos are good for killing any players, you cant knock people off the map so even if you did combo someone it's not as they'll die from the void. It still would be great to learn so you can kill people much faster.

- You don't need to know how to speed bridge
	This one is pretty obvious on why this isn't a necessity. You can only get one block in Survival Games and Its TNT, which turns into an entity as soon as you place it, so you cant speed bridge with anything in Survival Games.

- Have a friend play with you for Duos Only
	This is so you don't have a random who will most likely not speedrun

- *Optional* I recommend you buy Survival Games Rank
	This gives you the option to use map selection for quicker queuing.

(These maps only apply for Normal Mode : If you choose Overpowered Mode any map will work)

Solos Strategy
----------------
	Start by choosing the "Gladiator Kit" and either vote Normal Mode or Overpowered Mode, if you don't have the rank then hope it gets chosen by default.
	Once the game starts you will need armor, so going to the middle is the best way to get it. Make sure you're out of the middle in under 12 seconds.
	Now it's time for the sweep method, Go to the more open side and kill everyone there. Then go to the middle and kill everyone. Finally, kill everyone at the buildings. Its a very simple strategy but keep in mind that it's very luck-based because if people go to certain locations then the time can be messed with (The following locations you don't want people to go to *if they go to these locations it doesn't mean your run is over btw*)

	Very tall and open, good for people to escape or run away

-Any corner of the map 
	Very far from the middle

-The Monument
	Very big and open, its also on a hill that is hard to climb

The Best Maps: Java EggWars

Before we get started, I just want to establish that the best voting option for an EggWars speedrun is overpowered half heath. This is because in overpowered blocks and pickaxes are cheap, which means that you can quickly get enough iron to build to different islands and efficiently break other teams' eggs. The half-health vote is quite self-explanatory, you can kill the other players more quickly, which means the length of the fights won't drag out the run. 

In my opinion, the following maps are the best for each speedrun category in Java EggWars:


Solos:
	Any%/Perfect% - Tentacles; there are only 8 players, and the islands in two sets of four, within this being very close together. You can usually break the other three eggs in your section with the first 1-1.5 mins, and get across to the other half of the map in 15-20 seconds. If most of the players on the other side have already been eliminated, you can quite easily achieve a sub-three minute game.

	5kills% - Technology; there are 12 players on this map, which means it is unlikely for you to be unable to get 5 eliminations before the game ends. The islands are all in one big loop, which means it is very easy to bounce from one island to the next after you have eliminated a player. The islands are very close together as well, which means you can quickly bridge from one island to another. This allows you to get 1 elimination every 30-45 seconds if the player you bridge to is still at their base.


Duos:
	Any%/Perfect%: Forest; this map only has 6 teams, and all islands are easily accessible. My preferred team for this map is red, as it is the middle of three closely packed islands. When the game starts, you should gear up as quickly as possible into leather with a wooden sword, pickaxe, food and enough blocks to get to the neighbouring island. You should split up, one member of the team going to one adjacent island, and the other member of team going to the other. With this strategy you can easily get to these islands before the defenders are even geared up, and break both of the eggs. The eliminations come very quickly after this. Then, you should pick up the island left on the gens and buy more blocks. With this you can both build to mid and meet up to rush the remaining three teams. By this point, the remaining teams most likely will have a bridge to mid. You have two choices, a safe option which is slightly slower, where you both rush each island individually, or a more risky, but rewarding option, where you split up, and each go to an island, and then go back to the last island together from mid. The later option could easily save you 30 seconds, however requires much more skill as you both need to be able to take on a 2v1. Using the safer option, it is very possible to get a run in the 3-4 minute range, and with the more risky option, you open the door to a sub-three minute run.
	
	5kills%: Storm; this map is very fast paced, as the islands are extremely closely packed, however the reason that this run is not viable for an Any%/Perfect% run is due to the magnitude of the map; there are 11 other teams to compete against. Personally, I have managed to get 5 final kills on this map in 1:39, using the safer option of running to each island along with your teammate, and this time is definitely beatable using this method as the run wasn't even particularly well optimised. The beauty of the close islands is that you can easily rush to the next island or maybe even the one after that before the teams are geared up. If you and your teammate split up and reach the island next to you before the team is geared up, you can easily get your first 4 eliminations in less than 40 seconds. If one of you manages to quickly build to one more island and break the egg while one of the players on that team are still unarmoured, I believe that a sub 1 minute may be possible, although this might require some very high-skillcap techniques including flat-breezily or godbridging.


Teams of 4:
	Any%/Perfect% - Space; this is the smallest teams of 4 map in terms of players and size. In the pregame lobby, look at the tablist to see who the player with the highest ranks are, as these people are likely to have spent the most time on the server and therefore are more skilled. If you get a relatively low skill lobby, the following strategy will work very effectively. One of your players should rush mid with their iron from the money bags kit, whilst the other three players buy full leather, a stone pickaxe, a little bit of food, a sufficient number of blocks and a wooden sword. Then these three players can run in after the builder and each target one specific island from mid. They can then go and break the egg, and eliminate as many of the players as possible, whilst they are still unprepared. In this time, the builder can gear up and follow the player who went to the island with the most skilled players, as identified in the lobby, and back them up. If all players are successfully eliminated in the first rush, a sub-three minute run may be achieved.
	
	5kills% - Food; this map has the most players out of any teams of 4 map on the server - 32. This means you have 7 other teams to attack. As there are so many islands on this map, it means that they are all quite close together. If 2 members of your team head in one direction, and two in the other, all they have to do is each break an egg and get 2 or 3 eliminations. This means if this is optimised, and you get lucky in the fact that the teams on either side of you aren't particularly skilled, and because of that 5/8 total players are still unarmoured, it is very possible to get a time well under the 1 minute mark.
