I have a question that can be important. when i usually make a speedrun that uses checkpoints, i usually submit the video, from the attempt where i reach the first checkpoint to the attempt where i reach the flag, but is it mandatory or can I just cut the missed attempts after the checkpoint if the video is too long?

Don't cut the missed attempts. Full video without splices will ensure you have a valid run :)
