Summary:

• Boost Pad Glitch where you would occasionally not get the boost from a pad when landing on it has been fixed.
• Car Speed appears to have been reverted to the original season 0 speed. This is an increase in speed for the car. We will monitor and determine if any leaderboard changes are warranted.
• SUV Vehicle Class added to the game. "Yes, SUVs have a different hitbox than Sports Cars. SUV hitbox is a little bit taller since the vehicle is taller. Any other differences or variances between Sports Car and SUV...have fun finding them." -Psyonix Devin
• Other various minor bugfixes

Summary:

• New Novice track, Python

• New Advanced track, Seaside Farms

• Jackrabbit shortcut removal has been reverted to 29.20 version.

• Checkpoint respawn glitch behavior has been fixed. Time will determine how this may affect the glitch leaderboards for relevant levels. These runs will not be removed at this time.

Changes:

• Jackrabbit had a shortcut removed. This has a significant enough impact that the old Jackrabbit runs have been archived.
• No other notable changes for speedrunning (at this time)

Edit: Confirmed by Devin that the Jackrabbit shortcut is returning in v29.40. Old runs will be re-added at that time.

Season 0 Runs Archived

All runs from before update 29.20 (Season 1 / Neon Rush) have been archived. This was done to accommodate the changes made to the game mechanics (notably the double pad and speed changes). In the event that these changes are reverted, it is possible for the old runs to be restored.

Live Service Game Moderating

Since this is a live-service game, it is prone to mechanic changes and bugs. We will access these as they come across and determine how badly it affects runs. We will not archive runs every single time something happens with the game. It is perfectly fine to note your concerns, but that doesn't mean to spam or harass any mod/forum posts about this or for other reasons. Your moderation team does the best we can to upkeep the leaderboards and we thank those members of the community who are patient and understanding.

The leaderboards are now open. Biggest thing to note is that all Speed Run tracks are now found in the level leaderboard!

• All Epic-made Racing tracks can be played as Speed Run

1. A new category was added for the speed run tracks! Note that these tracks will be in their own category, seen on the leaderboards section, not with all the other levels! These tracks can also be played in public / non solo lobbies and still submitted to the leaderboards.
2. All times have been changed to include 3 decimal places instead of 2!
