Foreword: My run for reference and for visual examples of strategies, hand cam is included so you can see what keys I press and when, I have also added timestamps for each portion of the run for easier dissection. Improvement of the run is still very much possible and this is only my experience and knowledge.
This is everything I can think of and all relevant information, if you have specific questions feel free to ask me on Discord or SRC
Overview: First off you’ll want to grab Dead Sprint (or Stamina if you don’t have access to Dead Sprint), to transfer a booster to the tutorial you need to enter a mission with the desired booster, once you’ve loaded in you can return to ship, every time you enter the tutorial you will have your last loaded booster enabled! Next is to activate the early gate skip by returning to ship while General Brasch is speaking, afterwards every attempt afterwards should have the early gate enabled, sometimes it deactivates itself and you have to re-enable it.
Actual Run starts
Run up hill: At the start of the run you can hold movement keys and your sprint key before the exit pelican animation ends and you’ll immediately start sprinting, the sooner you start moving the better so doing this is a must. While running up the hill you must follow a slightly curved path and get as close to the bushes as possible without entering their hitboxes and becoming slowed.
Obstacle course: Time your dive under the barbed wire so you can stand right after landing. By holding W and D you’ll “clip” up the sideways barrel, this is faster than diving onto them and faster than vaulting, just because of pure distance required this should be the fastest path. This strafing tech also usable in missions!
I found diving at the beginning of the first "Jersey Barrier” gets you the most distance, you do have to be careful and it’s almost required to tag the second barrier during your dive to “reset” your vertical height and take away a slight amount of speed, otherwise you will ragdoll when you land/faceplant into the third barrier. I’ve been unable to dive on top of the last barrier from the first, but it may be possible.
It is possible to run into second barrier and clip an 1/8th or so of the way up and if you time a dive you can land on top of the third barrier but is incredibly inconsistent and hard to time if you’re even able to get the clip to happen, I have only pulled it off twice but may be the fastest way as it would remove a vault animation and also inconsistencies with standing up quickly and being able to interact with the environment after a dive.
Highly Realistic Battlefield Simulator: For the Highly Realistic Battlefield Simulator you want to maximize the distance of your dive and minimize the distance crawled as crawling is quite slow, just before diving your player model will “pop” downwards, very similarly to how you look when you pop up crouched from a hellpod, and that is when I press the dive key,
I found it easier to time my dive by moving my camera up so I can ascertain my position easier, it’s not required as the timing is pretty easy, but it is pretty much required to get the “most perfect” timing on starting your sprinting to stand up from the ground and running by aligning your helmet and a blood stain, you’ll want to start running about when your helmet covers this circled area, it may take a couple of attempts to get the timing down but luckily when you respawn (if you die in the simulator) you start before the Simulator and you can try as many times as you want to get the timing down!
Make sure to stop before the Battlefield Injury Simulator as not doing so will place you above the simulator, similarly to climbing up a Resupply! Pretty basic, just pick up the stim and stim yourself as soon as you do so.
First Bughole: Headshots kill this version of the Warrior the quickest and doesn’t seem to pop the head and cause a berserk state like it does in missions, after picking them up throw a grenade aiming slightly above the hinge into the Bughole
Stratagem Range: I throw grenades over to the Stratagem Range as sometimes the OPS will not kill enough terminids to open the door and you are required to throw another one, you are also required to stand inside the painted lines to throw the stratagem, if you hold your stratagem key it will pop up by itself and you can start entering keys as soon as you hear the SFX of the stratagem pad opening, try and aim more or less to the center. The door to the Reinforcement training will open very shortly after the cooldown for the OPS ends. This is about where you should aim to throw one or two grenades, one does it but I like to be safe with two as it’s not a waste of time and may contribute to more consistent runs
Reinforcement Stratagem Training: Get into the room as quickly as possible and shoot your fellow helldiver as soon as it appears from the ground, you are able to enter the code immediately after dispatching your fellow helldiver, slight time save is to throw it as close to you as possible, the less time it travels the quicker it arrives and the quicker the next door opens, I don’t think shooting the reinforced helldiver speeds up the door but I do it anyways because funny.
Loading Liberator and second Bughole: Grab the liberator and ammo, you MUST hit the reload button on the liberator for the next door to open but it is not required to reload all the way, make sure to grab the grenades too as you’ll need them for the next 3 bug holes!Get as far into the room as possible and try and time cooking the grenade so it explodes no more than about one second after throwing, the next door will open as soon as the grenade closes the bughole, you also don’t want a terminid to pop out otherwise you will have to kill it before the door opens so timing is key, unfortunately you’re not able to sprint while cooking a grenade so you will slow down which is why it’s important to get as far into the room as possible before cooking and also to keep moving while the grenade is being cooked!
Support Stratagem Training Area: Inside the Support Stratagem Training Area you have to pass through the door and exit the covered area before being able to open the stratagem pad, throw the Machine Gun as close to you as possible, you are able to enter the Resupply code as soon as you pick up the Machine Gun so lay next to the ball and pick it up through the ground then enter the Resupply code and throw it, the door won't open until the Resupply pops up from the ground so you have lots of time to run go to the other side of the room and wait by the door!
Final test, terminal training, flag planting and emoting, multiple Bughole training: During the final test hope for an easy input code, after entering go to the other side of the flag and try and wedge yourself between the middle of the 6 pillars, you should be able to get the prompt to pick up the flag before the pillars lower,
Plant the flag then emote immediately afterwards, you must stay emoting until you hear hear either one of the two audio cues, a kind of beep and/or the terminal clicking, a visual cue is the “Plant flag in designated area” objective information changing to “Kill all Terminids” You can immediately start cooking a grenade after this cue, throw the first one into the hole of your choosing, then the second one at your feet and the third into the final bug hole.
Grab your cape and run to extraction!~
Get to it helldiver!
