I think the situation with Beat Saber is the same as with Geometry Dash. In GD, in some categories, it is also possible to have basic skills, but time depends on quickly switching between levels.
i'd argue that geometry dash shouldn't be listed either, pretty much any rhythm game.

This is a fact man. I just decided to try sending a request and now Beat Saber has appeared on Speedrun.com
there is also Super Hexagon, Geometry Dash, The Impossible game, where it depends on how you scrolling levels (without deaths)
Former content moderator here. The game is not supposed to be here, indeed. We've denied it several times in the past because of the trivial nature of the speedrun (as is the case for rhythm games in general). I'd ask the game moderator to remove the board themselves. I'll also reach out to the current SRC staff and remind them what games belong on the site.
Sorry, but the SRC moderators themselves accepted my request, so I will not delete the game myself. I don’t think that this game should be removed; by the same logic, the largest number of rhythm games should be removed, where everything depends entirely on quickly switching between levels, of which there are quite a few in SRC.
Make this game interesting by allowing any speed setting, so the fastest runs become more and more difficult to do.
I do like this idea! Since it is Any% it only makes sense for this to be allowed and you could also create a new category for Glitchless. This would give some spice to it.
imo the best idea for this to be on speedrun.com is if you added a category for the beatsaber speedrun mod as that is way more speedrunnable and based on strategy
If you know a mod or there is some way that can change the speed of the game in the campaign, then I will take a look and add this category
