3 Robot Fight Mine Placement

- As soon as the fight starts, immediately open inventory and switch to mines. Place them clockwise starting from the right.
- 1 and 2 are positioned to give the robots time to walk into range for them to go off. Screenshot taken when all are placed- should be about to just about to explode by time 3 has been placed.
- 3 needs to turn around before it moves off the square- the mine's hitbox is big enough to hit it from here.
- For Regicide% faster to use grenades if have them spare (keeping at least 3 single grenades for the final soldier fight)- same order is fine, just aim slightly in front of the targets.

Escape% Routing

Escape% is ran on USA 1.03 version as it cuts out the Green Keycard dialogue puzzle and skips the end fight against the Colonial Marines as if you had grabbed Crespi's CD-ROM, watched it and kept it as evidence. However, the downside is that there's an extra xenomorph combat encounter in the Alien Hive (with faster combat), the audio bugs out in multiple spots blasting either static or the music, you're guaranteed the cutscene of the xenomorphs attacking the base just after picking up Crespi's Hand, the cutscenes don't skip as quickly and occasionally the game will hang for a second which freezes the cursor/drops input. With all this though it's still faster than playing the EU version.

# ACT I

- Turn left, go down stairs and enter M.O.M. chamber
- Look at CD part of console and press the Open button
- Head upstairs and turn left
- Exit Flight Deck, turn right and enter second last room on the right
- Use desk drawer and take Keyboard
- Exit and enter bottom left door
- Use drawer to get Raw Disc and top right cabinet to get Yellow Keycard
- Return to Flight Deck and back to M.O.M. chamber
- Use Yellow Keycard on monitor (mash spacebar to skip having to select Sensors)
- Exit back upstairs and turn right
- Use Flight Disc on Williams

## ACT II

- Exit Flight Deck and turn right
- Use Green Keycard on door
- Use panel on bottom left to move laser gun box into storeroom
- Go to storeroom and use panel (centre switch)
- Pickup gun
- Go back to first panel and Change View
- Exit through door and exit again (turn around to exit airlock)
- Equip lasergun and shoot robot
- Press Exit to skip talking
- Go right to hanger door
- Use the panel on the right to enter the Vehicle Bay
- Go through the lift in the back right corner (hotspot above the APC)
- Head up the stairs then Change View
- Click on alarm panel on stairs
- Click on the top of the stairs to get to the benches
- Swap to Lora and take the Red Keycard
- Exit back to main hanger and go up the stairs
- Use Red Keycard on panel
- Go to body and take Crespi's Hand (timelimit of xenomorph attack should trigger here)
- Return to Vehicle Bay and take the lift on the left by the double doors
- Enter SAS 6, turn around and grab 3 packs of mines
- Exit and turn left, go through SAS 7
- Use Crespi's Hand on scanner

## ACT III

- Go straight across to Research Center and enter the main lab on the right side
- Take left door, turn right and look at panel to open the hidden basement lab
- Turn right then left. Look at pillar and use Keyboard
- MYYRMIDON
- Lab exit- go left, change view (bottom of screen), click on pillar
- Go to the right and into Underzone (mislabelled!)
- Head all the way down and turn right, grab Rope
- Turn right, Turn Around and Go Up x 2
- Turn right and go through Black and Red Door
- Head back up to the top of the chamber and Look on the top left
- Use Synthetic Alien on Hive then use Rope
- **HIVE MAZE:** Straight to T Junction then Left, Straight until tunnel bends to the right, take next right, follow path around, straight to T junction, left and keep going straight to exit

## FINALE

- Meet Church
- Quickly select mines and place 3 just in front of you to kill the aliens
- Change to Lora's inventory
- Take Blue Keycard
- Exit through far door and go back up the full stairwell to main hub
- Turn left, go through the Research Center and head left
- Use Blue Keycard to enter lab
- Left, and with Lora take right most person's hand (Vaskal)
- Exit back to main hub (remember to turn around after exiting the room) and go straight across through the Entrance 	
- Turn left and go through SAS 8, all the way back to the Vehicle Bay
- Exit out to the base entrance
- Turn left
- Pick up pipe (no need to switch to Williams in this version)
- Use mines to kill the robots
- Turn around and head up the stairs on the right (to the SOS command terminal)
- Turn right and use Pipe on Valve Wheel
- Return to Vehicle Bay
- Use fuel pump on far wall, turn around and use hose (midpoint of APC) and enter the APC
- Press the Contact button and swap to Lora to use Vaskal's Hand on the scanner
- Mash spacebar to skip cutscenes until crew gets on the lift

Facehugger Despawn

While the animation of being attacked by a Facehugger is playing, quickly open your inventory and close it again. The screen refreshes and the game doesn't seem to know where to put it so it'll despawn it. However, doing this in front of an Egg will just infinitely loop you into a fresh Facehugger spawn attack each time you do it until you walk away from the Egg's initial range.

Note: if it's the last enemy entity in the encounter, the game will automatically end the encounter as soon as the attack animation is triggered. Likely a bug in how the game keeps track of the enemy locations/movements. At a guess I'd say it's a case of the Facehugger moving onto same spot as player, then triggers "Hericksen Facing Direction With Facehugger Attacking" animation then it spawns a new Facehugger back 1 square in the direction that Hericksen was facing when it ends. Opening the menu cancels all player character animation. Which would also explain the fact that the Facehugger can sometimes just attack again straight away as it's just a new Facehugger trying to move back into the same spot.

Clip below is probably the best RNG for this- hope the first Facehugger attacks you almost immediately so that you can then open the menu to select Mines.

Regicide% Routing

**NOTE: RESTART THE GAME IF YOU'VE KILLED THE ALIEN QUEEN AND ARE STARTING A NEW RUN. THIS STATUS DOESN'T GET RESET OTHERWISE- ENTERING HER LAIR WILL NOT RESPAWN HER.**

Regicide% route for WR is ran on EU 1.0 version and is mostly identical to Escape% except for following requirements:

- Pick up the Robot and reprogram it
- Collect all 4 parts of the X Scanner
- Equip the X Scanner to be able to use the hidden lift in the corridor of SAS 9
- Destroy the Eggs and kill the Facehuggers
- Take Grenades from the cabinet
- In the Hive, head right to the bottom right of the map to enter the Alien Queen Lair
- Destroy the Eggs and kill the Queen
- Retrace steps in Hive to reach the first T Junction you went right at then follow Escape% route to Church
- Use spare Grenades to win the final fight against the soldiers

- Turn Around then turn around again, go up the dark stairwell
- Change View and use the robot on the terminal
- Return to Vehicle Bay and go back up the lift in the right corner to the red locker
- Use robot on the left locker and take X Scanner Part 3 of 4
- Exit back to Vehicle Bay and take the lift by the double double doors
- Equip Red Keycard and go through the door
- Enter SAS 6 and take X Scanner Part 4 of 4 at bottom of the display
- Turn around and grab ~4 packs of mines
- Exit and equip the completed X Scanner
- Go through SAS 9 and continue straight on the main path until reach the hidden lift
- Take the hidden lift down and exit below to start the Facehugger fight
- Use mines on the Eggs first, then kill the Facehuggers with mines. Keep an eye on your inventory in the bottom right and swap out immediately to the next set when used the current set (otherwise you'll start walking forward trying to deploy them). Try to keep 1 pack of mines- if running low can kill the Facehuggers with the lasergun but it is slower. 
- Grab as many grenades as you can
- Exit the lab using the hidden lift
- Turn around and go back through the double doors until reach the SAS door hub
- Enter SAS 7
- Use Crespi's Hand on scanner

## ACT III

- Go straight across to Research Center and enter the main lab on the right side
- Take left door, turn right and look at panel to open the hidden basement lab
- Turn right then left. Look at pillar and use Keyboard
- MYYRMIDON
- Lab exit- go left, change view, click on pillar
- Go to the right and into Underzone (mislabelled!)
- Head all the way down and turn right, grab Rope
- Turn right, Turn Around and Go Up x 2

- Head back up to the top of the chamber and Look on the top left
- Use Synthetic Alien on Hive then use Rope
- **TO ALIEN QUEEN LAIR**: Straight to T Junction then Right. Keep going straight until reach crossroads then head right. Keep heading straight until reach Alien Queen chamber
- Quickly switch to mines and place them around the Eggs to destroy them all. Unlike the grenades, the mines have no range for placement and no throwing animation. Don't worry about trying to get free hits on the Queen until these are all destroyed or you'll end up spawning Facehuggers walking too close to them
- Lure the Queen up to the centre top right of the arena and do a full U turn (with a full square in the middle as part of the movement) and run all the way down to the centre bottom middle in a straight line. This should temporarily confuse her pathing and you can toss 3 grenades at her quickly (eating some damage on the final grenade). Repeat until dead.
- **EXIT HIVE MAZE:** Keep going straight until reach 3rd junction and turn left. Should now be at a crossroads, turn left again. Keep going straight until the 3rd time the tunnel turns to the right, take the immediate right turn and follow path around straight to T junction, left and keep going straight to exit

## FINALE

- Meet Church
- Quickly select mines and place 3 just in front of you to kill the aliens
- Change to Lora's inventory
- Take Blue Keycard
- Exit through far door and go back up the full stairwell to main hub
- Turn left, go through the Research Center and head left
- Use Blue Keycard to enter lab
