I think the few glitches/skips in this game are extremely easy to learn and everyone seems ok with that so I don't think it would be a good idea to separate that imo.

I think the 100% / Collect everything category is a cool idea for a challenging speedrun.

I will add more mods probably the next week. Nice to see some of you wanting to volunteer, because it's hard to just select people for mod tbh. Need to talk with some people and wait for things to calm down over here first.

As you can see fellow runner the old rules have been polished to accommodate everyone.

In the end it's all about running the game.

But I have to say that when I wanted the whole PC version timing changed to RTA that reasoning was based on establishing 120fps as kind of the default fps setting for PC runners (with of course RTA w/o loads). If we don't have a good load removal script that works for everyone and 120fps is fucked up for IGT (NG+) then ofc we're going back to the old timing, just clarified.

BTW guys I might not be an RE5 "old boy" but I wanna add that I have years of experience working with the RE speedrunning community as a whole and honestly the problems that you guys are bringing up over here are kind of trivial. I think things are ok now.

• NG+ IGT (no idling in menus encouraged) / NG RTA with old timing after going back and forth debating which model was best. If this is the best model is because it came out of runner's suggestions, not just established by a mod team on its own.

• You accepted to set RTA with the requirement of a load remover script without ANY of the old mods caring about adding said script into the resources (a fellow runner had to do this job instead of a mod), rendering PC runs useless and instantly obsolete.

• You kept shutting down community suggestions, closing threads WITHOUT notice several times (the proof is down below the forums pretty much).

• You start to magically be passive-aggressive towards me out of resentment in this very thread when the rules thread I started is filled with positivity.

I side with what the majority of the community thinks its better for the game, not just a small group of people (rings a bell?)

Remember that this is about speedrunning a videogame :)

Sniffims I don't remember you being a mod tbh so I don't think that argument holds up. I just feel that some of you guys are being extremely passive-aggressive towards me just becasue I'm a mod now. AFAIK the rules are still community voted and everyone is ok with it.

It's ok that you guys want to do events and stuff but why you are NOW coming out with these ideas? The forums/community were somewhat dead this whole year since you guys took control. So the timing seems fishy you know?
