So far we've not deemed it necessary to split boards based on platform, there's barely any console runners and the routes aren't that much different. Besides, most categories are already split a bunch of ways and we'd like to avoid adding onto that, so for now we'll stick with what we've got, but we're not opposed to change in the future.
Hey, seeing this game have a leaderboard made me motivated to glitchhunt again, and this time l've actually managed to find something.
Paste from the video description: By holding down jump and repeatedly tapping forward in a specific rhythm while facing the correct angle you're able to scale up the wall and skip around a minute of walking. Also, "zipping" on top of the fence by doing the same thing but between the tree and the fence, that one doesn't seem to require any rhythm at all. The platforming at the end is pretty tricky, but failing it simply means you can go around, only losing around 15s.
Also l'm working on an Autosplitter/Load Remover for this game, so stay tuned for that l guess :p
My reasoning behind putting episode runs in ILs is because to my knowledge there isn't really a way to segment them further(?) and the main board is usually used for full game runs. Like, full-game full game :p Perhaps if you still wanted them on the main board, simply add a single category called "Episode Runs" and add each episode as a subcategory? Would certainly help the currently a-little-excessive clutter with the categories c:
As for "true any%" with allowing modifiers etc, I feel like it'd just clutter the board with no real interest in runs from anyone. I'd say either allow all the different modifiers outright for all the runs or ban them entirely, no real reason to split the boards.
l'll have to decline the offer to be a mod though (at least for now!), wouldn't feel right to mod a board of a game i don't run :p
hello i dont run this game (yet?) so feel free to ignore me but i do get really pissy about leaderboards for games i care about looking good so i wanna throw in some advice
-put episode runs in ILs rather than on the main board -rename "Full Game" to "Any%" (this is purely based on what punchy said regarding a future category and isn't that big of a deal for now imo) -put the gamejam version category in misc
i think that would make the board look much less cluttered and overall more readable but again feel free to ignore me :p
Added the glitched/NMG subcategory to any%, will add it to AB too once there's a run of it
I would count that as breaking the rules, yeah. Your any% run should be fine though.
The point of the All Bosses run is to clear out all the arenas, basically set the "is boss dead" flags in the game to true, which happens even if you don't kill that one boss. Still, I'd be totally down to split both Any% and AB into Glitched/NMG provided someone does a run of it first. No point in adding a category if there's no runs.
Bosses dying to gravity feels to me like an intended mechanic, however if you'd like to do a run without abusing it I'd consider making it a rule for NMG just for category variety's sake
instead of having one category (any%) and a million subcategories (looks bad) make it so every character is its own category, and if a new category to any% is invented (such as 100% or something make that a subcat instead (looks better)
thanks :)
This leaderboard sucks please give me mod so I can fix it
I'll unmod myself after just like yea please this looks bad and I can make it look less bad
Hello, I think the glitched route is just as enjoyable and "skillful" as any other one. That said, I did think about adding a No Major Skips/Glitches category but didn't yet due to low interest in the game. Because you seem interested, I will make that category for you, but only after we figure out a reasonable ruleset for it.
At the moment I'm thinking something like:
-no death abuse to go through fences and other collision -no skipping bosses (be it with the long jump of the whip or poor level design)
Also, while the "kill the final boss" run is interesting, the goal is extremely arbitrary. I'd recommend looking into All Bosses, which accomplishes the same thing and more with interesting routing and execution throughout.
not sure if known or not?
based on the no alt-f4 dupe for 1.8 that's shown in the guide section, but you can dupe however much you want with very little loss in IGT could be useful i guess? figured id share

The end split timing was never super precise and to my knowledge we never retimed runs to the frame. I say this is good enough and will serve as the new standard for timing runs.
final split timing just means it autosplits at the end, which the previous autosplitter didn't do
pausing on menu is a bit weird but it doesn't really matter honestly
okay just tested the autosplitter and it appears to work perfectly! great job and thank you! ^^
